Everything happens for a reason
Pairing: Bucky x reader (Former Steve x reader)
Warnings: cheating, angst, pregnancy, semi-public sex, Steveâs an ass in this one,
Words: 5213
A/N: Well this escalated quickly! When you have too much time at work stuff like this happens :D!
I have no idea how they do a c-section or any medical terms of that field other than the stuff Iâve seen on Greyâs Anatomy so forgive me when the birth is wrongly described.
âBabe? You home?â you called out to your fiance excited to tell him the news. No response, so you ventured further into the dark hallway.
You could see light coming from under the bedroom door. Thinking nothing of it because it was already relatively late, you walked to the room and opened the door.
You had not expected the sight before you though. Youâre husband to be in the throes of passion with not one but two women.
Shocked, you slammed the door shut again which caused the threesome to startle.
âHoney? Why are you home already? I thought you were gonna go for a drink with your friends.â he called out to you while ripping the door open againâŚ..
âThatâs your excuse to cheat on me? That I was not going to see it? WHAT THE FUCK STEVE! We wanted to get married!â you screamed at him and then threw the engagement ring towards his head.
You stormed past him into the bedroom, grabbed some clothes and necessities from your closet and stuffed them into a suitcase. He tried to reason with you, that he wanted to feel free one last time and could pass up the opportunity of a threesome. Like that was actually an excuse.
Everything he said was ignored and so 5 minutes later you sat in your car and that was when the dam broke. You wanted to cry and yell at the same time. How could you have been so stupid as to think someone as honorable and good looking as Steve Rogers was not gonna follow the temptation of so many willing women at some point? You wiped your tears away and contemplated where you could be going for the night.
After thinking for a while you had figured out that most of your friends were also Steveâs you didnât know if they were going to take his side or yours.
Natasha was not the right idea, she would probably break into his house and kill him in his sleep if she found out he cheated on you like that. And maybe you were in the right mindset to let her do it right now. Wanda and Vision were out of town and Tony would only tell you âI told you soâ. That left only one other person in the world you liked enough to see right now. Bucky Barnes. So without further notice you drove to his apartment complex and rang his doorbell at 1am with a packed suitcase in your hand.
âYes.â you heard a groggy voice through the speakers at the entrance.
âEhm, hi Bucky. Itâs Y/N. Something happened, can I come up?â you were already close to tears again. He must have noticed so he was immediately wide awake and buzzed the door open.
You took the elevator up to the 4th floor and he was already standing in the doorway to his flat only in boxer shorts and a t-shirt.
âHey, doll. What happened? You look worse for wear.â he looked concerned and let you inside.
âI feel awful for disturbing you in the middle of the night. But I didnât know where else to go.â you fell into his embrace after he had opened his arms.
âItâs okay darling. Now tell me what happened please.â he inquired.
âOf course. Where do I start?â you frantically searched for words.
âBest if you start at the beginning.â he smiled encouragingly.
âYes, sure. So tonight I wanted to go for a drink with a few girls from work but didnât feel alright after work so I rainchecked last minute and went home. But when I stepped into our bedroom, oh Bucky it was terrible, Steve wasnât alone. There were two naked girls in bed with him.â you had fat tears streaming down your cheeks.
âImpossible. Steve is not a cheater. You sure you saw that right?â The doubt in his voice made you angry.
âI know what I saw Buck!â you got defensive.
âOkay, I believe you. Itâs just that I never saw Steve disrespecting someone like that. Iâm so sorry for you doll.â he looked genuinely affected by the whole situation and he could understand how Steve could hurt you like this.
âBut thatâs not the worst part yet⌠The reason I didnât feel great and didnât go out with my friends is⌠Iâm pregnant Bucky and Steve doesnât know.â you looked downwards.
âFuck! That is getting more and more complicated. But congratulations doll. You will be a great mom.â he hugged you close. âHow about Iâll make you a cup of tea and then you try to sleep a bit.â he suggested.
âAlright. Thank you Bucky. You are my best friend.â he smiled sadly at that statement. He wished you were more than just friends. Maybe now he would have a chance somehow.
Before he could get up though his phone rang.
âItâs him Y/N. You want me to ignore him?â
âNo, then he knows Iâm here for sure. Tell him you havenât seen me.â
âOkay, will do.â
âSteve? Do you know how late it is?â Bucky asked with his best impression of a just out of bed voice.
âIâm sorry pal but I need to find Y/N. I did something stupid and she left. Do you know where she is?â you could hear Steve through Buckyâs much too loud phone.
âIâm sorry Steve. I havenât heard from her. You just woke me up.â he lied.
âDamn! I need to make this up to her. Iâm so sorry. If she comes to you, could you tell her I need to speak with her, please? I love her too much to lose her.â you swallowed more tears threatening to escape.
âSure, buddy. You wanna tell me what happened?â Bucky feigned cluelessness.
âMaybe later Buck. I have to call the rest of our friends.â
âAlright, but donât do anything stupid.â Bucky said and Steve hung up.
âYou heard him, didnât you?â he asked you.
âHmm.â you confirmed.
After you had drank your tea he left you the bed and slept on the couch. When you snuggled into the covers they smelled so delicously like Bucky. A mix of soap, coffee and something uniquely Bucky. For one split moment you had thought about asking him to sleep next to you but that would have probably sent mixed signals and you didnât know what you wanted at the moment.
You woke up feeling cold. Shivering slightly you opened your eyes and noticed that the blanket had fallen off your body onto the floor. Sitting up you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes and the realization of what had happened struck you a moment later.
âChin up! You are a queen! Donât let that idiot make you cry again. Heâs not worth it!â you told yourself and got up to get some food.
âGood morning, Bucky.â you greeted him while he was standing at the stove making scrambled eggs and bacon.
âGood morning to you too. How did you sleep? And do you want some breakfast?â he asked cheerily.
âI slept like a baby and hell yes Iâm so hungry.â confirming his suspicions.
Bucky and you ate together in comfortable silence. Until he spoke up: âSo Y/N you know you can stay here however long you like and I donât mind kicking Stevies ass for what heâs done to you but you should at least tell him that you are with me. I canât lie to him forever.â he really had a point.
âI know. Thanks again for taking in a stray in the middle of the night. And I know I will have to talk to him eventually. He hurt me so bad but Iâm more afraid I will give in again when I see his puppy dog eyes although I canât trust him anymore.â you looked so lost. Bucky wanted to wrap you up in a blanket and never let you go again.
That week you called in sick. You couldnât stand the people at work.
And when you came back on monday, guess who was standing outside our office building with a exagerrated flower buquet.
âIâm sorry babe. I shouldnât have done that to you. You are the best thing that has happened to me. Please donât leave me.â he begged. You had to admit seeing Captain America beg was a sight for sore eyes.
âHello Steve. You are correct you shouldnât have cheated on me and I am deeply disappointed in you. Thank you for apologizing but I wonât come back to you. You have broken my trust and I canât just give it back to you. I will be over in the next few weeks to get the rest of my stuff out of your apartment and leave my keys. Now I have to go work. Bye Steve. Oh, by the way, you will have to call all our friends and family that the wedding is off. Iâm not doing that.â and with those words you turned away from him and clapped yourself menatlly on the shoulder at how confident and sovereign you had handelt that situation.
If you had thought the deal was over there you had definitely celebrated to early.
Of course Steve found out you had been staying with Bucky all along and was mad as hell.
He suddeny stood inside the apartment, however he got in there, and started throwing insults at Bucky and especially you.
âHere you are you little slut! Have already replaced me, hm. How long has this been going on? You preach something of trust and here you are fucking my best friend behind my back! I should have known.â he raged.
âCalm down you idiot. There is nothing going on between Buck and me. He has just been a friend when I was hurt needed one.â you yelled back enraged at the accusations.
âWho do you wanna tell that, Y/N. Do you think I havenât seen the way you two look at each other?â he was still so angry. You had nevern seen him this full of rage.
âSo what it is none of your business anymore anyways.â you knew you couldnât bring him to believe you anyway. He needed to find a different cause of why you wouldnât come back to him than the simple reason that he had cheated. He wanted to blame you, not himself.
âCould you please leave now? I donât feel so good.â you suddenly felt your lunch coming back up to greet you and ran to the bathroom.
The men heard you puking. One knowing the reason the other not.
âWhatâs going on with her? She sick?â Steve asked Bucky.
That was your clue to burst through the bathroom door.
âIâm pregnat you ass! You cheated on your pregnant fiance!â you yelled and stormed into BuckyâS bedroom, jamming the door shut behind you.
Steve looked aghast at Bucky âdid you know?â
âShe told me the night she came to me. She had wanted to tell you then. Thatâs why she didnât go out with her collegues.â
âFuck! I destroyed everything, havenât I?â he asked Bucky in defeat.
âGive her time. She probably wonât want to marry you, maybe not even be your girlfriend again but maybe she will at least let you see your kid.â Bucky stated matter of factly.
âBut I wanât more Bucky. I want her.â he whined.
âWell, you had everything, pal. But you destroyed it. I better go talk to her. You should really leave her alone for a while.â he clapped Steve on the shoulder, maybe a bit harder than necessary and went after you.
âY/N? Heâs gone.â Bucky carefully stuck his head into the room. You were lying on the bed, on your back staring at the ceiling.
âGood.â you muttered. âI couldnât stand him anymore. Iâm afraid Bucky.â you confessed. âI canât raise a baby on my own and I donât know if I want Steve involved.â
âI can understand your worry but I donât see any reason. You are so caring and selfless you will be a great mom. And if you let me I can help you. Kids seem to like me apparently.â he encouraged you and smiled.
âThank you, Buck. I definitely will need your help. I am going to be a single mom and thatâs completely okay.â you smiled at him.
âThatâs what I wanna hear. Now, you hungry after everything just came out?â
âYes. Iâd like Pizza please.â
âAlright, princess I will order some.â he stroked your cheek and got up to get the delivery running.
âSo he actually cheated on you? I would have never expected that from Steve. He always seems like a gentleman. Unbelievable.â Wanda exclaimed.
âYeah. Absolutely insane. But congrats on the pregnancy though. You will be a rockinâ mama.â Nat hugged you. âAnd we will help you with whatever you need.â
âThanks, girls. You are amazing. You know I want you to be godmothers, right?â you asked.
âHell yes. Weâre in.â Nat squealed and you never heard her squeal.
Weeks ticked by and you really searched for an affordable apartment somewhere close to your workplace. That was harder than you anticipated though.
After 3 months of moving in with Bucky you had still no place of your own and you constantly thought you were overstaying your welcome.
âHow are you two doing today?â Bucky asked you as he came home.
âWe are fine. Had a lot to eat and listened to some music. By the way my OB was able to find out what we are having. You wanna know?â over the past months Bucky had become more a father to the baby than Steve had been. Steve rarely called or wanted to now anything about you or his baby. Bucky seemed more than content to take up the role of its father.
âHell yes I wanna know. Tell me!â he ordered exited.
âAlright, drumrollâŚ. Itâs aâŚ. girl.â you announced.
âOh, wow. Great. A mini you not a mini Steve.â he laughed and you had to laugh too.
âBuck?â you asked suddenly.
âHm?â
âI want you to be in this girls life. As more than just her mommys friend. More as a rolemodel. AâŚâ you stopped to think about your next words carfully. âMore like a dad.â and out it was. Now you only had to wait for his reaction.
âYou want me to be her father? Hmm. On the one hand I would love to. I feel so close to her already but on the other hand I donât want to affront Steve. Even after everything he is my friend. Can we talk about what there is between us first? Maybe if we have that settled all will slip in place.â he suggested.
âMaybe you are right. What is there between us in your opinion?â
âLook Y/N, I have always felt a connection between us. Although I would have never acted on it because you were Steveâs girl, it hurt everytime I saw you with him. And when you got engaged I seriously considered moving abroad so I wouldnât have to see you building a life with him. If I could imagine myself as the man by your and your daughters side? Of course. There is nowhere Iâd rather be. And we are practically living together already anyway.â his confession only superficially shocked you. You knew there had always been feelings from your side too. Thatâs why it had been so easy to confide in him. He took your silence as hesitation and became insecure âI mean if you donât feel that way I will accept that. I swear I can be just a frienâŚ.â he wasnât able to say more because you had already stopped his rambling with a bruising kiss.
âSo you do feel it!â he observed.
âOf course I do you dummy. You have always been there for me. Iâm sorry it took me so long to realize it was actually you who I should be with.â you apologized.
âThe most important thing is that we have that figured out now.â he kissed you again and you melted into it.
âYes, we do.â you smiled.
Another few months flew by and you had started to stay at home because you were constantly feeling dizzy or nauteous when you moved.
âBucky come here. Now!â you yelled for your boyfriend one snowy december morning. Alarmed he stormed into the livingroon where you were parked in front of a movie with a cup of hot chocolate and a really big blanket over one of Buckyâs hoodies.
âWhatâs wrong? You okay?â panicked he jumped onto the couch next to you. âNo nothing is wrong. Here- Give me your hand.â he gave you his right hand and you pressed it to the place on your belly were you had just felt her kick. When she did it again he almost jumped out of his skin. âWoah, what was that? Was that a kick?â he asked astonished.
âOf course Buck. What else was it supposed to be?â you laughed.
âShe is strong. Damn so cool.â
âAnd she keeps kicking even more when she hears your voice. Maybe she likes it if you sang to her.â you smiled expectantly.
âOh, no. No one wants to hear me sing. I have a terrible voice.â he refused.
âSteve told me differently. He said you were in church choir together as boys.â your smirked at him.
âHe told you that.â he sighed.
âOh, yes he did. So come on. Sing something for our daughter.â
âOur daughter?â he asked, you realized what you had said and blushed.
âI like the sound of that.â he grinned from ear to ear and that was the moment you were 100% sure that he was it for you.
âI love you so much.â he whispered and kissed first your protruding belly and then your mouth.
You were speechless. âI love you too Bucky.â you replied.
Your daughter grew everyday. Everytime you went to an ultrasound at your OB Bucky was by your side and although the doctor knew he wasnât the babys biological dad she said that he was doing so much better than most fathers to be. He took so much pride in your baby girl that you almost burst with love for him.
After 9 months of carrying her it was finally time to let go. When the contractions started Bucky rushed you to a hospital and although he didnât want to he called Steve. And Nat and Wanda of course.
The doctor and midwife did their exam of you and the baby quickly before figuring out that something was wrong.
âShe is lying sideways. We canât deliver her naturally. We need to get her by c-section or you will both die.â the OB made clear. You knew things like that could happen. You had mentally prepared for anything but now that it actually came to that you were more than afraid.
âWo should stay with you? Only one person can.â the doctor informed you.
Steve, who had just entered the room and had heard everything of course assumed immediately that he was gonna be invited into the OR with you.
âI want Bucky to stay with me.â you whined. Steve got pretty angry and almost ripped the door off its hinges when he left. âBucky Iâm afraid.â you whispered to him. Uncaring of Steves abrupt departure.
âI will stay with you, doll. Through everything. You two will get through this.â he encouraged you.
âThanks Buck. Letâs get this baby into the world.â you said.
âGood attitude.â the doctor approved.
They rushed you into the OR. Bucky never leaving you and holding your hand the whole time. During the procedure itself you were awake but you got a spinal anesthesia to numb everthing from your belly downwards.
âI will keep a pretty ugly scar Buck. Donât you mind that?â you asked him a little drunk on meds.
âNo sweetheart. I love you so much I donât care about scars. You donât care about mine either, do you? Scars are just proof of what you have gone through and survived. Thatâs what you always used to say. Isnât it?â he quoted you.
âYes maybe.â
âPlus it will always remind of our beautiful daughter. Thatâll be worth it, donât you think?â he asked.
âYes, sure. I love you Buck.â
âI love you too and you are doing so great. Isnât she doc?â he asked the OB.
âOh, sheâs doing great. Everything is perfect.â she answered but by the nervous facial expression she had on her face and the rushing nurses surrounding her Bucky knew that something was wrong.
Suddenly a baby cried. Relief flooded through Bucky. âLook there she is.â he pointed to your right and you rolled your head over and smiled. Then you passed out.
âY/N? Y/N!!!â Bucky yelled. âWhat happened?â he asked the doc full of panic.
âShe lost a lot of blood but we are giving her donations now. Go see your daughter and we will do everything we can to save her.â she explained to him. But Bucky would not be Bucky if he left your side.
They sewed you up and 3 hours later you awoke in a brightly lit room. Beeping machines by your head. You looked around, complketely confused until you saw the cutes thing you had ever laid eyes on. Your angel of a boyfriend was sitting next to your bed in an armchair, holding your baby daughter to his chest and singing softly to her.
You started weeping immediately. Still high on drugs and hormones.
âBaby whatâs wrong? Are you in pain?â he asked worried.
âNo, I am just so happy. You two really are a sight for sore eyes. I canât contain the love in my heart.â you kept crying happy tears.
âWould you give me our baby?â you asked politely.
âOh, of course honey.â he got up and placed the blanket wrapped burrito into your arms. When you saw her crystal blue eyes and slightly dirty blonde hair you had to hold back new tears.
âWhat should we call her?â Bucky asked you.
âI always loved Autumn as a girls name or maybe Freya. What do you like better?â
âI love them both. Double name? Or keep one for the next baby?â he suggested.
âYou are already thinking about a second child?â you laughed. âGive me a bit of time to recover and then I would love to have another one with you.â
âSure so Autumn or Freya?â he asked again.
âLetâs go with Freya. Itâs such a unique name. And strong as hell. I think it suits her.â you chose.
âGreat. I love it. And I love both of you.â
âHas anyone been in here yet?â you asked him.
âNot yet. I wanted you to see your daughter first before the others came barging in. Steve nearly broke down the door when I refused him to come inside. I handled him and security told him if he didnât calm down he needed to leave and he wouldnât be allowed back inside.â he broke down the events of the past few hours for you.
âThat sounds so not like the Steve I know but seems like that is who he became. I think if you hand me a glass of water for my parched throat first you can let the others inside.â you instructed him.
After downing the entire bottle of liquid the whole party came trampling into the room. Steve pushed the rest rudely out of the way. But instead of asking how you were doing after losing so much blood he just grabbed your daughter out of your hands to look at her. It didnât take 3 seconds before the infant was crying like crazy. Steve startled and immediately handed her back to you. âWhy is she always crying? Sheâs definitely yours.â he commented. Bucky gotreally angry at that comment while you tried to calm your baby.
âI think you should go, pal. You are irritating her with your attitude.â Bucky suggested nicely.
âWho do you think you are? You are not her father. I am.â he turned beet red.
You finally had enough. Handing Freya over to Nat who took a step back, you sat up a little and faced Steve. âIn the past 9 months Bucky has been more a father to her than you could ever be. He was there when I hung puking over the toilet bowl. He brought me the strangest snacks without asking twice about it. He always had the nicest words to say to me no matter how depressed I felt. And where the fucking hell were you that whole time?â you asked him angrily.
That made him stop still. âYou left me!â he tried to defend himself weakly.
âGET OUT!â you yelled at him.
He obeyed because he knew he couldnât say anything to make the situation better.
âWow, that was intense.â Wanda commented.
âHe needed to hear that.â you said.
âYes, he did. And now to you and your daughter. She is adorable. Whatâs her name?â Nat changed the topic.
âThank you Nat. Her name is Freya. I have always loved that name.â you answered.
âThatâs a beautiful, strong name. Fitting!â Wanda commented.
âSo when will you be able to get out of here?â Nat asked, still holding your baby.
âI donât know. Havenât spoken to a doctor yet.â
As if on cue the door opened and your OB entered.
She told you that everything was healing and that you needed to stay for another day and then you and your baby could go home.
Three weeks later you had already accustomed Freya to her crib. You went on walks everyday. Bucky always by your side. Protecting you both like a wolf protects his pack.
Six months ticked by like nothing. Suddenly Freya was already playing with her mobile which was hanging over her bed. She was very attentive. Crawling all over the apartment fast enough that you almost couldnât catch up.
It was fulfilling to be a mom but also tiring. You needed a day off so as the nice godmothers that your friends were they took her from you for 24 hours. At first you slept in. You would have happily stayed in bed all day but Bucky had other plans.
So you took a shower and put on a nice dress but you forwent the high heels cause you still had swollen feet sometimes and couldnât walk in them anyways.
âWhere are we going Buck?â you smiled.
âYou will see, doll.â was his cryptic answer.
He drove out of town until you reached the hills. Parking the car somewhere in the middle of nowhere you got out of the car and he pulled a picnic basket out of the trunk.
âA picnic? Thatâs so sweet.â you swooned.
âI thought that would be nice.â He seemed somehow really nervous.
When you had found a clearing he put everything down and you two sat and ate. Sandwiches, fruit, cheese, crackers, chocolate covered strawberries. Everything was so delicious. âThank you for this Bucky. Itâs the best date I have ever had.â you complimented.
âIt is wonderful. And I would like to ask you something.â he turned so he was kneeling in front of you and pulled a box out of his jacket pocket. You clapped your hand in front of your mouth and tears sprang to your eyes.
âY/N I have loved you for so long. We have a great life together, a wonderful daughter. I would like this to hold forever. Will you marry me?â he asked.
You threw yourself into his arms and he crumbled underneath you âYES! Of course I will marry you Bucky. I love you so much!â you confirmed.
He put the ring onto your finger and you kissed deeply. The kiss turned heated quickly. You, still lying on top of him, wriggled your hips. He turned you on so much you wanted him right that moment.
âWoa, hold on doll. You sure you want to do this here?â he mumbled against your lips.
âDonât wanna wait any more. Waited too long.â you mumbled back.
His hands immediately went to the zipper on your back and pulled it down. You sat up so you could wriggle your arms free and pulled the dress over your head, leaving you in your panties and bra. âSo beautiful.â he groaned and buried his face in your boobs, nipping and sucking hickies only he would be able to see later.
All the while you frantically ripped at his clothes, pushing the jacket off his shoulders and unbuttoning his shirt. Then you roamed your hands over his muscular chest intensely. Grinding down on his growing erection got you so wet. You hadnât gotten any action in over a year and you knew he hadnât either so this was likely going to be over way too soon. You had to savor any moment that it would last.
With his help you got him out of his jeans and you saw that he was not wearing any underwear. âNaughty boy. No underwear?â you commented, smirking.
âMore comfy that way. Why donât you make it even more comfortable and sit on my dick, doll?â
âWith pleasure.â you moaned and sank down on his massive cock. âFuck!â you groaned at the slight discomfort. You felt like an inexperienced virgin again. âShit. Donât stop.â he moaned lustfully.
You rocked your hips sensually and he met you with every thrust.
He hit all the amazing spots deep inside you and you felt your high approaching way too fast. ââm so close, baby.â you moaned with your eyes closed. Just lost in the pleasure of every stroke inside you.
âMe too. Wanna come together. Open your eyes, darling.â he panted.
So you did as he had asked and when your eyes met his baby blues you lost it and came all over him. That in turn triggered his orgasm and he spilled inside you.
Breathing heavily you slid off of him and cuddled into his side while he pulled a blanket over you.
âThat was so great.â he said.
âHmm, and you know what? Iâm still not on birth control again. Maybe⌠weâll soon have a mini you running around.â you smirked.
âI would like that very much. Life is always better with a sibling.â he kissed your head.
Well and what can I say- 9 months later you gave birth to a healthy, dark haired baby boy which you named Ben. Your family became the most important thing in the world. You didnât even want to think about a scenario where you hadnât found out that Steve cheated on you. You were the happiest when you were with Bucky. Thatâs where you belonged.

You were at work when your phone started ringing in the break room. You were sat at a table, munching on a salad for lunch. Your eyebrows furrowed when you saw Kiaraâs name across the top. The Pogues and you had an agreement not to call each other work unless it was important. You slid your finger across the bottom to answer and swallowed your bite of food.
âKie? Everything okay?â you said as you held the phone to your ear.
âNo everything is not okay!â she exclaimed loudly on the other end. You pulled the phone away from your ear in shock before bringing it back. âJohn B just brought Sarah Cameron over here. Theyâve been macking behind our backs and he lied about it!â
Your eyebrows furrowed and you dropped the plastic fork into your bowl. Topper and Sarah had just gone to Midsummers together. Youâd just seen them at the country club the other day because, as fate would have it, they got sat in your section. You had to watch them disgustingly flirt across the table the whole time you tried to wait on them.
âShe was cheating on Topper?â you more so stated than asked in realization.
âYes! He broke the most sacred rule, Y/N. Pogues donât lie to other Pogues!â she shouted. You understood that she was more concerned with their friendgroup, but your mind traveled elsewhere.
You remembered seeing Topper arrive at the club shortly before you went on break. He met up with Kelce and Rafe to golf for the day. You needed to talk to him - make sure he was okay. He was supposed to be your sworn enemy by most standards, but you hated that damn rivalry. You didnât understand why you all just couldnât get along.
âIâll deal with John B later,â you reassured the raging girl on the other end of the phone. Being one year older than them all, youâd been made honorary âmom friendâ of the group. You typically handled drama amongst the teenagers. âI gotta go, Kie. Iâll call you when I get off.â
Kiara bid you goodbye and you quickly hung up. You stood from the table and tossed the rest of your salad in the trash; it wasnât that great anyway. You exited the break room and made your way to the dining area of the club. It was fairly empty, only a few tables occupied by club members. You spotted the back of a frosted tipped head at the bar and made your way over to him.
Topper was getting a few beers for him and the guys before they headed out on the course for the day. No one IDâd him, of course. The members of the club paid enough money to oversee this type of thing. Everyone just looked the other way.
âHey, Topper, can I talk to you?â you asked as you came to his side.
He glanced at you with a furrowed brow and scoffed, turing back to the bartender, âDo I have a choice?â
You ignored the question and way he tried to brush you off. You shifted your weight on your feet and said, âI heard about Sarah. I just wanted to say Iâm sorry. Are you okay?â
Topper froze completely in his spot. He knew word was going to get around eventually, it was inevitable and obvious. Though, he wasnât expecting you to walk right up to him and say something about it - putting salt in an open wound. He slowly turned to look at you with a stone cold expression on his face.
âWhy would you ask me that?â he practically growled, handing shooting out and gripping harshly onto your upper arm. âDid you come over here to gloat? Make fun of me? Rub it in my face that your little friendâs been hoeing around with my girl?â
âNo I-â you winced as Topper squeezed your arm harder, âTopper youâre hurting me.â
The tall Kook released your arm, realization crossing his face but it was quickly replaced with a scowl again. The bartender put the beers on the bar and he practically threw the cash across the bar at him. He grabbed the beverages and turned to you again.
âI have your job in the palm of my hand, Y/N, donât ever talk to me about that again,â Topper spat before walking away.
You had a frown etched into your features as you watched the blonde go. Your hand massaged the spot heâd grabbed subconsciously. When he was out of sight you dropped your hand to your side and sulked back to the break room. You were going to spend the fifteen minutes left of your break wishing youâd just kept your mouth shut.
â˘
The next time you saw Topper was at a Boneyard kegger. You hadnât seen him at the club since that day. You hoped you never did. You desperately needed that job to keep you and your mom on your feet. Youâd never be able to find another job that paid that well, especially if your boss spread word that you messed with the Thornton boy.
You made your way towards the kegs for a refill when a group of guys turned with freshly filled cups. Youâd had your eyes cast downward on your feet as you tried not to trip in the sand. You nearly ran into someoneâs chest when you looked up into the face of the boy you were trying to avoid.
âT-Topper,â you stuttered, taking a step back when you realized how close you were. âSorry, I wasnât paying attention.â
âClearly,â Rafe snickered to your left, sauntering off with Kelce somewhere. Probably to find their next innocent and oblivious hookup to add to the notch on their belts.
You ignored the self proclaimed âKook Kingâ and stared up at Topper. His jaw was set as he stared down at you. His eyes were swimming with something you couldnât pin point. Regret? Guilt, maybe?
âYou come over here to try and get me to talk about my feelings again?â he mumbled, raising the cup to his lips to take a large drink.
âNo.. I just- Look Top, Iâm sorry.â
Topper scoffed and rolled his eyes. His shoulder bumped yours as he walked past, but not before adding, âStay the hell away from me.â
Pope, whoâd been at the kegs handing out beers, came to your side immediately upon seeing you frown. The two of you watched the boy make his way to his friends and other Kooks.
âYou okay?â the dark skinned boy asked, now looking down at you.
âYeah.. Yeah, Iâm fine,â you forced a smile to your lips and handed your empty cup over to be filled.
Unbeknownst to you, Topper watched you all night. He didnât understand why you cared. He didnât understand how you could still be so nice to him with the way him and his friends treated you and your friends. It was frustrating, really, this feeling in his chest that was pulling him towards you. Something about the way you looked at him, the way you were soft spoken but strong willed at the same time. He couldnât shake this feeling of wanting to let you in.
â˘
It was a gorgeous morning. The sun had just completely revealed itself from the horizon, not a cloud in the sky. The waves were especially good. Thatâs how you found yourself down at the beach on Figure Eight. Their beaches werenât as crowded since, letâs face it, the Kooks didnât give a damn about surfing. You had a whole mile stretch to yourself. The only people you saw were a few joggers and dog walkers.
Your surf board glided through the waves effortlessly. You practiced some of the tricks JJ had been teaching you, nearly losing balance a handful of times. One wave took you by surprise and you tumbled through the water. You came up for air, choking on sea water, lungs burning. You could feel your muscles screaming at you despite the saltwater making your body feel exceptionally light.
You climbed back up onto your board, wiping your eyes and try and rid them of the burning sensation. You blinked away the mix of tears and seawater, looking towards the beach when you saw a familiar frosted tipped head. He stood shirtless, arms by his sides as he stared at you - a small smile on his lips that you couldnât see from so far away.
As you slid onto your stomach and began paddling back to shore, you were half expecting Topper to leave. You were surprised when he didnât, instead walking closer to you as the waves crashed around your legs when you stood.
âDidnât know you were so good at that,â it was a half-assed compliment, but you still smiled.
âYou wouldnât know, itâs a Pogue sport,â you teased breathlessly.
Topper rolled his eyes, this time playfully as a smile again tugged at his lips. He watched as you stuck your board in the sand and undid the ankle strap. You sat down to take some relief off your aching legs and leant back against your palms.
âWhatâre you doing on this side of town?â he asked as he came down to sit beside you, keeping a good amount of distance between the two of you.
âThe beach is less crowded over here. Itâs easier to surf without worrying about getting run over by someone else,â you replied, looking over at the dirty blonde.
Topperâs skin was glistening with sweat and his muscles looked taught - not that you were paying attention. You figured heâd been on a run before stopping to talk to you. Only God knows why after the way heâd been treating you.
âYou know, I didnât mean the things I said to you,â his voice was softer now. His blue eyes met yours for a moment before he was looking back out at the water. âI guess.. I was just so angry at Sarah and John B. Youâre his friend so I took my anger out on you.â
âApology accepted,â you replied with a smile, even though he hadnât outright said he was sorry. Topperâs gaze locked on yours and a genuine smile crossed his lips.
The two of you sat on the beach for hours, time slipping away from you as you talked. He opened up to you about Sarah and how heartbroken he was. He told you how his attachment to her was unhealthy and he wasnât even sure if he was truly happy with her. He told you how heâs just ready to move on and figure out what real love is.
He opened up about his mom and how she expected so much from him. You realized the boy boy had a lot of pressure on him. He was going through more than a lot of people knew about, even his own friends. But you noticed how he sat up straighter and seemed more relaxed the more he talked. He was smiling and laughing with you, something you never thought youâd be able to say. You saw a twinkle in his eye that hadnât been there before and it made your heart swell.
â˘
You and Topper had been hanging out quite regularly. Heâd meet up with you after you got off work and youâd grab lunch or take a walk on the beach if it was late. Youâd take long drives on your days off, windows down with music playing softly as you talked about everything - or nothing at all. Heâd even helped your mom fix her car when it broke down on her way to work. It surprised you that he even knew anything about cars, thinking he just threw money at someone to fix whatever problem he had.
The Pogues didnât know about your newfound friendship with the Kook. They assumed you were busy with work and your mom. Occasionally you had to pick up some extra shifts so your absence was nothing new to them.
The Kooks heard youâd been hanging around with Topper but no one had really seen it with their own eyes. They were whispers of gossip in the dark started by older folks seeing the two of you at the club or on the beach. Rafe had tried to ask his best friend about it but was brushed off as if he didnât know what he was talking about.
When you showed up at the Boneyard for - yes, another party - with the blue eyed boy, everyoneâs attention was on you. You were linked arm in arm as you treaded the sand down to the crowd of people. The whispers and quiet murmurs started. It was eerily quiet - those parties were never quiet.
The Pogues were by the kegs, staring wide eyed and mouth opened at the two of you. You could practically feel the uncomfort coming from John B and Sarah. If looks could kill, Rafe would have killed you both, Kelce stood beside him with his eyebrows scrunched together in confusion.
âWell this couldnât be any more awkward,â Topper muttered, trying to stifle a laugh.
âIt was your idea to come together,â you whispered back, glancing over at your friends, âTheyâre looking at me like I just killed their puppy.â
The two of you erupted into a fit of giggles, making your way to the kegs. Pope filled up a cup and hesitated as he handed it over to Topper. You kept the smile on your face as you looked between the Pogues. You took the next cup and took a sip as the tall boy unlinked his arm from yours.
âIâm gonna go talk to Rafe before he has an aneurysm,â he muttered in your ear, hand lingering on your lower back.
You hummed in response and nodded, watching him walk over to the Kooks before you turned back to your friends. Still, they were staring at you. Mixed looks of surprise, disapproval and betrayal.
âWhat the hell was that?â JJ was the first to open his mouth.
You shrugged a bit and smiled around the rim of your cup as you took another sip of the bitter liquid.
Kiara sat herself on one of the kegs and added, âDont play coy with us, Y/L/N. Whatâs going on?â
âWeâre just hanging out! Itâs not a big deal,â you exasperated, free hand slapping against your thigh after you threw it up.
âYouâre fucking Topper now?â John B asked, standing behind JJ with a disgusted look on his face. âThatâs why youâve been so MIA lately?â
You turned to the curly haired brunette and raised an eyebrow. A sarcastic smile painted itself across your lips and you tilted your head. âI donât think you have much room to talk, do you? Weâre not fucking. Donât be an asshole,â you retorted.
A silence fell over your group, an uncomfortable one. You werenât one to talk to friends in such a way but theyâd backed you into a corner. They were trying to interrogate you, but John B was also running around with a Kook and even helped her cheat. You werenât going to let them judge your choices when they werenât much better.
As soon as Topper walked up to his friends, Rafe couldnât help the words flying from his mouth, âSo you hang out with Pogues now?â
The shorter male scoffed and shook his head, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. He brought the cup he was holding up to his lips to keep himself from spewing a harsh remark in return.
âI mean, if youâre just fucking her, itâs cool bro, do what you want. But you two sure did seem coupled up. You donât want some Pogue slut ruining your reputation, Top-â
âDonât talk about her like that, man,â Topper snapped, staring his friend in the eye. Rafe raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms over his chest. Kelce stood awkwardly to the side, not wanting to include himself or pick sides between his friends.
âSheâs not a slut and sheâs not just some Pogue,â Topper continued to defend you, turning to look over his shoulder at you. He could tell your discussion with the Pogues was heated by the way you were talking with your hand and the clench of your jaw. âSheâs a cool girl. She takes care of her shit and doesnât let peopleâs opinions of her, change how she carries herself. Maybe if you actually got to know her instead of judging where she came from, youâd see that too,â he continued, looking at Rafe again.
The brunette Kook held his hands up defensively and muttered something like okay man, whatever. Topper turned to look at you once more, catching your gaze. You sent him a small smile and a single nod. He did the same. Despite how your friendâs felt from both sides, the two of you didnât care. You were like two magnets being drawn together, a feeling neither of you had ever experienced before.
â˘
Your shift had just ended and walked out the doors to see the familiar Jeep parked out by the curb. You smiled and walked over, pulling the passenger side door open and climbing into the vehicle. Your hair had started to fall out of the ponytail you were wearing and you probably smelt of all the food youâd been handling all day. You rubbed a hand over your face tiredly and leant back in the seat.
Topper sat in the driverâs seat, taking a moment to stare at you before driving away. He had a small smile on his face when your eyes met. You let out a soft laugh and covered your face with your hand, mumbling, âWhat?â
The Kook shook his head, feeling his cheeks heat up at being caught. He bit the inside of his bottom lip as he pulled the car away from the curb and started driving. You turned to look out the window and noticed he was taking you farther into Figure Eight instead of the usual way to your house.
âWhere are we going?â you asked and turned to look at him again. The sun was setting and casting a beautiful glow over Topperâs face. His tan skin being illuminated by the orange light made his eyes impossibly bluer.
âMy momâs on the mainland for work so I figured we could hang at my place,â he responded, glancing over at you. âIf thatâs okay! I didnât even ask.â
You hummed and nodded, eyes drifting back out to the houses flying by. Youâd only been to Topperâs house one other time since youâd started hanging out. You knew what it looked like though. The Pogues liked to crash house parties often and his had been one of them many times.
You arrived at the large house fairly quickly and Topper let you inside. You kicked off your work shoes by the door and followed him up the staircase. He opened his bedroom door and walked in ahead of you, quickly picking up some of his discarded clothes and tossing them in his hamper in the corner. The room was very minimalistic and tidy, probably his motherâs doing.
You walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge of the sea foam green colored duvet. He wiped the palms of his hands on his shorts and turned to you. Your hands were clasped together in your lap as your eyes traveled around the room. You looked so tiny compared to the large mattress and he could tell you were a bit uncomfortable - not wanting to dirty his space.
âYou can take a shower. I know you probably want to,â Topper suggested, walking across the room and opening the door to his attached bathroom.
âOh I- uh, I donât have any clothes.â
Topper waved his hand in dismissal and opened up the bottom drawer of his dresser. He pulled out a pair of old basket shorts and a t-shirt. He put them on the counter in the bathroom and turned to you with a raised brow.
âI guess I donât have an excuse now, huh?â you chuckled and stood up, entering the large bathroom.
âIf you need anything just gimme me a shout,â he told you with a smile before stepping out of the bathroom and shutting the door.
You turned on the shower and got it to the right temperature, taking off your clothes and slipping under the stream of water. You let out a content sigh and basked in the warmth for a minute. The water pressure was so much better than what you got on the South side.
You quickly washed your hair with some of his shampoo and shockingly, conditioner. Most boys wouldnât have that product. His body wash was sandlewood scented and you used your hands to clean your sweaty skin. You took an extra minute to make sure you were rinsed completely before turning off the water.
You grabbed a towel and thoroughly dried your body before stepping out and slipping on Topperâs shorts. They were big on you but thankfully didnât fall off your hips. You slipped his shirt over your head and smiled softly as his scent swirled around you. You skipped out on undergarments - considering you didnât have fresh ones, but you were comfortable enough around the Thornton boy to go without.
You opened the door while towel drying your hair and found Topper sat against his headboard. Heâd changed into a pair of grey sweatpants and one of his old Kook Academy t-shirts. He was scrolling through Netflix, trying to find a good movie to put on when his eyes traveled to you. His breath hitched at the sight of you in his clothes, wet hair dampening the maroon colored material.
Itâs as if his eyes were glued to your body, frozen on the bed with the remote clasped tightly in his hands. You tossed the towel into Topperâs hamper and made your way to the bed. His gaze was still on you as you stopped at the end and you chuckled.
âTake a picture, itâll last longer,â you teased, climbing up onto the bed and crawling towards the pillows.
âDonât tempt me.â
You were still on your hands and knees when you looked to the tan boy. He was staring back at you with an unreadable expression. His eyes were a darker, stormy blue. His eyes flickered between yours as he had an internal battle with himself. They drifted to your lips as you pulled your bottom one between your teeth.
âCan I kiss you?â Topperâs voice was softer now, eyes meeting yours once again.
âI thought youâd never ask,â you replied through a grin and shuffled closer to him.
The Kookâs hands dropped the remote, one finding the back of your neck and the other meeting your waist. Your lips met awkwardly at first, noses bumping. You pulled back with a soft laugh and tilted your head, leaning in slowly this time. The kiss was soft and tentative. Your lips moved together in synchronized motions.
Topperâs hands pulled you closer until you were sitting on his lap. The room was heating up by the second as your hands roamed the toned planes of his chest over his shirt. You tongue swiped at his lips while tilting your head to deepen the kiss. His large hands wrapped around your hips before sliding up and feeling at your waist.
You hadnât realized youâd started to grind down against the Thornton boy until you shifted and made contact with his half hard cock. He gasped into your mouth and pulled away from your lips. His pupils were blown wide and his cheeks were pink. You looked something similar, lips swollen from the pressure of his against yours. He had grabbed onto your hips tightly and held them while his chest moved with his soft pants.
âY/N..â Topper hesitated. He didnât want you to feel like this is all he wanted. The two of you had spent so much time together, he felt so stupid to shut the idea of being with you down all those times just because you were a Pogue. You knew him better than his own mother at this point. You helped him get over Sarah and learn to love himself again - and in turn, start to fall in love with you. He didnât want you to feel like his rebound or a fling. He wanted you; all of you.
Your read Topperâs thoughts through his eyes, feeling your heart swell. Your hands came up to cup his cheeks and bent down to press a sweet kiss to his lips. Your mouth trailed down his jaw until your soft breath was at his ear, making a shiver run down his spine.
âI want you, Topper,â you whispered, a hint of desperation laced in your tone.
The sound of you saying those words alone had his cock fully erect. A low growl sounded in his chest when you ground your hips against him once again. He flipped the two of you, your head nestled in the pillows as he hovered over you. Your legs were bent at the knees at both sides of his hips and his pressed his length against your clothed heat. You mewled at the touch, fingers sliding into the frosted tips of his hair.
He dipped his head and attached his lips to your neck, sucking dark marks into your delicate skin. Your head tilted to him better access fingers tugging as his soft locks as he found your sweet spot. Topper groaned softly, one hand sliding under your - his - shirt. His thumb and pointer finger rolled your perked nipple, causing your back to arch.
âStop teasing,â you whined as he lifted his head and smirked down at you.
âPatience, babygirl,â Topper muttered, pushing himself up onto his knees. He pulled his shirt off your body and hummed as he took in the sight of your exposed chest.
The obvious tent in sweatpants made your mouth water. You reached down and wrapped your hand around his clothed cock, palming him through the garnments. He let out a strangled groan as he twitched in your hand. He quickly ripped off his own shirt, giving you a chance to admire his muscular body as he worked on getting your shorts off.
Topper couldnât hold back anymore. Heâd been longing for this moment since he realized his feelings for Sarah had diminished. Youâd been waiting for this moment since he apologized at the club. Youâd always found him attractive and as the two of you got closer, your feelings for him only intensified.
âYouâre already wet and Iâve barely started,â he breathed as he spread your legs open for him and admired your glistening pussy.
You bit your lip and tried to get Topperâs sweatpants down his legs but from your angle, it was almost impossible. You huffed in frustration and laid back against the pillows.
âTopper, Iâve been waiting for this for too long. Please, take your pants off and fuck me already.â
The Kook didnât argue. He wanted nothing more than to lay down and devoure you of everything you had; make you cum repeatedly on his tongue. But with the way you were practically begging for his cock and dripping arousal on his duvet, he couldnât wait to fuck you into next week.
He pushed his sweatpants and boxers down far enough for his cock to spring free, not even bothering to take them off completely. He hooked one of your legs over his forearm and tapped the head of his length against your clit then dragged it through your folds to your entrance. The corners of his lips twitched up as your juices coated him. He guided himself inside of you slowly then put that hand on your hip.
A soft moan left your lips as Topper filled you up, sighing in relief when he bottom out and held your hips as close to him as he could. He had his jaw clenched, eyelids fluttering as your walls hugged him perfectly.
âYouâre so fucking tight,â he groaned softly as he began thrusting slowly. Heâd pull back until the head of his cock was the only thing inside of you, then press the whole length of himself back into you.
You whimpered in response, displeased with his slow pace. Your hands traveled up the expanse of his abs, leaving goosebumps in their wake. When you reached his pecks you dragged your nails back down.
âFuck me like you mean it, Top, please. I need more,â you begged the gorgeous boy above you.
His eyes left where the two of your bodies met and locked on yours. They were cloudy with arousal and a smirk spread across his lips, replying, âAs you wish, princess.â
Topperâs hips snapped forward as he started fucking you faster. The sound of skin slapping on skin filled the room as well as your moans. The grip he had on your hip was bruising tight and his cock was brushing your g-spot with every thrust. He grunted as he moved your leg and put your ankle over his shoulder, bearing his weight on his free hand.
You brought your other leg around his hip, crying out as he started pounding against your g-spot now. The coil in your stomach was winding up fast. Topper felt your pussy clenching around him and he moaned.
âGonna cum on my cock already, baby?â he asked, bringing his hand off of your hip to rub quick circles against your clit with his thumb. He watched your eyes roll back, mouth falling open as pornographic, sinful moans escaped you. âThatâs it, cum for me, Y/N.â
Your legs shook as the euphoric orgasm wracked your body. Topper slowed his thrusts as you road out your high bending down and sucking one of your nipples into his mouth. You whined and arched into his mouth, nails scratching at his shoulder blades.
He pulled out suddenly, leaving your body cold and empty. You opened your eyes to see him shimmying out of his sweatpants and boxers. He was lazily stroking himself with one and the other grabbed your leg to turn you over.
âHands and knees, babygirl,â he demanded, pulling your hips up once you were on your stomach.
You had barely gotten your knees situated before he was plunging his length back inside of you. You propped yourself on your elbows and gasped as he set a brutal pace, one hand pressing into your lower back on the spine. Watching your ass bounce with each of his thrusts had Topper in a daze. He couldnât take his eyes off of your bottom half and his other hand came down on one of your asscheeks roughly, causing him to groan as he watched it shake.
At this angle you could feel him so much deeper than before. All of your senses were on overdrive after your first orgasm, now he was slamming against your g-spot at an ungodly pace. Your second orgasm was approaching faster and faster and you couldnât stop your pussy from clenching right around him.
âYes, fuck yes! Right there, Topper, donât stop!â you moaned out, the side of your face pressed into the bed and muffling your voice slightly.
The Kook let out an animalistic moan, hands gripping tightly to your hips as he pulled you back to meet his thrusts. They were getting sloppy, but he tried to keep his pace the same, letting his head fall back as he felt his own release approaching.
âF-Fuck,â Topper groaned, squeezing onto your hips, âIâm gonna fill up this tight pussy, baby. Shit, Iâm cumming.â
The two of you released almost at the same time, you reaching your second high just before him. A cry of his name left your lips as your juices coated his swelling cock. His hips stuttered as thick ropes of his cum filled you up. He slowed down, using your tight walls to milk himself as he chanted your name like a mantra.
You fell limp on the bed, causing Topperâs softening cock to slip out of you. He watched his cum slowly drip out of you, making a mess onto your abused cunt and his bed. He got up from the bed and went to his bathroom to grab a washcloth. He came back and gently cleaned you up then himself.
The Thornton boy helped maneuver you under his sheets, smiling at the dazed look in your eyes. He stripped the comforter off his bed and made a mental note to wash it in the morning before climbing under the sheets beside you.
He pulled you into his side and wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head when you rested it on his chest. He brushed your hair off your shoulder and let his fingertips trace gentle patterns onto your bare skin. The silence didnât bother either of you - just content being in each otherâs embrace.
âHey, Top?â you muttered sleepily into the golden skin of his chest. He hummed in response and you continued, âI really like you.â
Topper couldnât hold back the grin that invaded his face, throwing his head back for a second in joy.
âHey, Y/N?â he copied you, waiting for you to hum in response before he tilted your chin up. He planted a loving kiss against your lips then the tip of your nose and whispered, âI really like you too.â

Inexplicable
Spencer Reid x Reader
This is a ticket fic, if you don't wanna read that scroll my dude.
Every now and then, you would get into these warm, sunny moods for no apparent reason, and Spencer couldn't figure it out.
Derek would always joke that you must've gotten laid, but as a profiler he knew how to read you well enough to know it wasn't that. He couldn't tell what it was, and that was what annoyed him.
Today was a day like that, your unusually bright disposition had been going strong for a day or two before and today was no exception. He was quite frustrated actually, angry at himself for not being able to figure out what caused these periods of peculiar behavior.
He definitely wasn't complaining, he thought that you were rather adorable when you got like that, you would smile and laugh more, joke around with Morgan, and make nerdy references with Penelope and himself. You were often times the ray of sunshine that kept the team going during hard cases, and that was especially true when you had those periods of unexplainable potential energy. You had an arsenal of unbelievably warm oversized sweaters that you seemed to reserve for specifically times like this, which he thought suited you quite well.
There were downsides, of course. You seemed so tired, what he thought was a product if not being able to sleep due to heightened energy levels. You also seemed more distant, and (though the logical side of him knew this couldn't be caused by a simple mood) he couldn't shake the feeling that even your physical body was practically freezing cold. On top of that, you seemed to recede into your head more often.
He knew from experience that that was never a good thing.
This was what you had learned was called a 'lee mood'.
You had a pretty embarrassing secret- you really liked being tickled. Maybe it was because you liked the feeling of being able to trust someone enough to be completely vulnerable and helpless with them, or because you liked having an excuse to be carefree and laugh. It gave you a chance to just let go and be happy. You liked laughing, and you guessed that that just carried into the rest of your life that way.
You had these periods of time since as long as you could remember, but you had only just stumbled across the term a few weeks past after falling down a tumblr rabbit hole late at night. See, you and Spencer were alike in many ways, but one especially stood out- your pension for research in the face of confusion.
So, being the research prone person you were, that was what you did. The amount of firewalls and incognito tabs you put up to make sure no one ever saw said research was almost ridiculous, but you needed to find out why you were the way you were, or if other people were like this too. (Basically, what the literal hell was wrong with you)
That was the answer that you got, and apparently the answer was yes, other people were like you. That was how you found out that not only were these phases normal (for some people), but they had a name. It was still embarrassing, but at least you knew you weren't alone.
There were downsides to this too, of course. It wasn't all sunshine and giggly happy rainbow dreams or whatever.
It was being even further touch starved than you were usually, to the point that you thought you might genuinely cry if someone hugged you for too long. It was being almost constantly tired but unable to sleep, and it was having reason whatsoever for feeling that way. It was yearning to feel close to anyone, emotional or physical.
Still, you didn't exactly have an outlet for these moods, so they basically just came and went as they pleased, and for now, the mood seemed impossible to shake.
It had been going pretty strong for the duration of your case, and the case was finally over. It was hour (2? 3?) Of the flight back home, and everyone in the plane was asleep, bar you and Reid, whose nose was in a book while you listened to music.
You couldn't help but watch him while you listened, he was a fascinating person to look at, (and you had a bit of a crush on him) but he was especially fascinating while he was reading. He was a speed reader, but he always looked so concentrated and entertained. He was almost as enamored with reading as you were with him, and you couldn't help but watch him. It seemed almost....intimate.
He glanced up at you for a moment. Just a moment, and you knew he had caught you staring, knew he saw you. But you couldn't drag your eyes from his, so instead, you just kept looking.
The moment ended, and he looked up, not at you, not at his book, just vaguely forwards as if he was considering something. Whatever it was, it seemed he decided on it rather quickly, looking back down and dog-earing the page of his book before folding it gently closed and setting it down.
He stood up from his seat and walked swiftly towards you, he didn't speak , just looked your way with a slight smile, before dropping down into the seat right next to you. Once situated, he began to speak.
"You know, I've been trying to figure you out for the longest time," he started, observing you as he spoke. "Half the time you're a cold, calculating realist, leaning on the cynic side, and yet the other half, you're like this," he gestured vaguely with his hand.
"Well, I'm sorry I've been troubling you," you joked, a brow raised in his direction.
He rolled his eyes, falling silent for a bit. The tentativeness he usually held resurfaced when he looked around, scratching the back of his neck.
"You don't- I know I've known you for a while, and you seem alright with physical contact, but you don't, uhm, you don't have any problems with contact, right?"
You almost had to laugh. If only he knew, with how touch-starved you were? It might be impossible for you to have a problem with physical contact.
Then again, your mind wandered.
Mainly, to why Spencer was asking you that. Heat rushed through your cheeks as you considered all the possibilities of what he could've meant by that.
"I- well no, Spence, I don't," you cleared your throat. "I don't have problems with that, why?"
"Oh good," he spoke, ignoring your question as his confidence quickly returned.
Without any more warning, he reached out and tazed you in the side with his fingers, smiling slightly as you squealed, edging away from his hand.
"Spencer! What was that for?" You chastised, more than a little flustered, sure that your could feel the blush rise in your cheeks.
"I'm just...." He trailed off as if looking for the right words, a confused look (that you would never admit to thinking was adorable) for a mere moment before his head seemed to clear. "Let's call it testing a theory."
With that his hands latched to your sides, digging into the skin there and smiling as it pulled sweet laughter from you.
"See, I think that this is what you've wanted all along. Your moods, I haven't been able to figure them out, so I kept searching. I was worried about you. I thought maybe they were manic states, but you don't have any of the other traits of bipolar disorder. Then I thought maybe something good just happened to put you in a good mood, but nothing new had happened during those times either."
"ihihihi- ihihi hahahahave noho ihidehehehea whahat youhohohoure tahahalking ahabout!" You denied, attempting to stifle your laughter and batting his hands weakly away (though you didn't really want him to stop).
"So," he continued, rolling his eyes at your denial, "I started searching symptoms; often tired but rarely sleeping, brighter moods, hightened levels of elation, loosely bounded sense of humor. Now, I didn't find anything official, per sĂŠ, but I did find a quite interesting little section of the internet that offered up a pretty simple explanation," he smiled gently, continuing that sweet form of torture, and all you could do was laugh, clutching against his shirt. You chose to bury your head in his chest and save yourself from the embarassment of your reactions to his words.
"Did you know, it actually makes sense- laughter and physical contact are the biggest suppliers of the chemical dopamine," he explained, as if he wasnt currently tickling you to pieces. "When someone is touch-starved, they lack most of the dopamine that comes from physical contact, so the brain decides that the best way to replace that missing dopamine has to be some sort of human contact that results in laughter. Ergo- tickling." You just tucked your head further into his chest, attempting to muffle your laughter in his shirt and hide your steadily reddening face.
"Spehe-spehehehenceheher!" You giggled, unsure what to say and settling on his name. You knew there wasnt much of a point trying to hide that you obviously enjoyed this from Spencer so you just sat there and took it, hiding in his shirt, though you knew that by your red ears he could tell your face was flushed.
"Yeah (y/n)?" He asked far too casually, always attentive to what you had to say, while still continuing to tickle you senseless, scratching your sides, hands worming their way under the fabric of your sweater.
"Ihihi dohohohont- ihit tihihihihicklehehes!" You whined, aware that you weren't technically complaining or asking him to stop, also aware that Spencer knew that perfectly well too.
"I know," he tsked, feigning sympathy but continuing his actions, with a smirk that you could almost SENSE on his face. Admittedly, this interaction wasn't just for your sake, he was certain that hearing your laughter and seeing you lose your typically well-maintained composure like that was bringing him quite a bit of dopamine as well.
So, instead of trying to think of something else to say, you just clutched at his shirt to stop yourself from pushing him away, trying to keep your laughter in check so as to not wake up the rest of the team as you just let yourself feel the tickly sensations flooding through your nervous system. You practically melted when he moved one of his hands to spider up and down your back, falling into snorting giggles. The other moved to flutter behind your ears, and you sighed through your giggles. Your back and ears had always been some of your worst spots, but at the same time it was incredibly soothing, the kind of thing that could put you to sleep, and the conflicting feelings absolutely maddening.
"Oh, did I find good spots?" He cooed, noticing how you went limp in his arms, aside from the occasional squirm when he brushed against a bad spot.
Your skin tinged a further red, (if that was possible) at the teasing. "...Maha*hic*haybehehehe.." you squeaked, again realizing that there wasn't a point to trying to lie to Spencer.
"I'll keep that in mind."
He stopped for a moment to give you a break and you sat up to try and catch your breath.Â
"For now, i think that if we really wanna fix this mood of yours we should pull out the big guns," he teased pausing to make sure you were still doing alright before moving his one of his hands to flutter at your neck, while the other dropped to your knee and began squeezing, laughing along with you when you squealed and shot your hands up to cover your mouth and try to muffle your laughter, which had gone up significantly in volume.
He moved his hands so quickly, between squeezing at your knees, drilling his thumbs into your hips, clawing at your stomach, running his hands up and down your sides, and fluttering at your neck and ears, it felt like his fingers were everywhere at once, and you were barely holding it together. You moved to bite down on your sweater sleeve to muddle your desperate laughter, losing all coordination and thrashing as his hands continued their onslaught against your senses.
He grinned at your (franky rather adorable) reaction, laughing along quietly with you, finding it precious how you tried to hide what was clearly hysterical laughter. In reality, behind the muffling of your laughter, you felt that you were losing your mind at the sensations coursing through your veins. Still, you wouldn't have it any other way, pure glee shining through your eyes.
Just that look was worth doing the a million times over, and it was then that Spencer realized he needed/enjoyed this just as much if not more than you.
When your laughter started growing hoarse he slowly backed off, bursting into quiet laughter at the adorable, almost dissapointed puppy-dog look on your face when he stopped.
You sucked in air like you had never tasted it before, a few stray giggles slipping out to disrupt the silence. Spencer had stopped, but you could swear you still feel the ghosts of his hands against your skin, the tingling feeling still refusing to leave your body, leaving you flustered and giggly.
But you were happy.
Elated, actually. What he said about the endorphins produced from what had just transpired must've been true, because you felt almost lightheaded, warm and pleasantly tired and unable to stop smiling.
You were still on his shoulder, practically laying on him, though he had long since stopped.
Neither of you minded
You hadn't really been able to be this kind of tired in a long, long time. You felt like you could fall asleep right there and then. You'd forgotten how nice it was.
"...thank you."
The words came out of your mouth before you could stop yourself, and you shifted your eyes down, flushing bright red in embarassment after realizing what you had just said.
For a moment, Spencer studied you. Leaning against him, head against his shoulder, cuddling into his side.
You looked tiny.
It was the first time he'd ever really realized how strikingly small you were. In the field you were tough. You seemed so much more formidable than the fragile looking person curled into his side.
Your sweater sleeves were down way past your hands with one sleeve slipping off your shoulder and your undershirt untucked and rumpled. Your flushed complection, eyes closed, the hair sweat-stuck to your forehead, out of breath and panting slightly. You looked like you had just walked through a hurricane, the only indication of what REALLY happened being the soft smile plastered to your face, and the occasional quiet giggle slipping in between your breathing.
You looked absolutely breathtaking.
"Any time," he spoke softly.
He looked down at you, and he could swear his heart melted. You had fallen asleep on his shoulder, and you'd never looked more peaceful.
He could get used to life being like this.

(Un)Lost
Your mom passed away two weeks ago. When you make the discover that your father is Chris Evans, he accepts you into the family right away.Â
-
Chris must have sat in the car for fifteen minutes before getting up the courage to go inside your house. He didnât even know it was your house because he didnât know you existed, much less who you were to him. He knew it was your motherâs house. Your dead motherâs house. You, at sixteen, had lost your mother and found your father in the same day. And youâd decided to stay with your grandparents for a couple of days until he hopefully showed up at the funeral, which he did. You recognized him because he looked exactly like you, but you also knew him because he was an actor. And you hated that you were about to uproot his life, but you needed a parent, however you could get one. So you stood in your bedroom, your birth certificate in your hands, and paced back and forth.
Your mom, Lauren, had dated Chris for six years. Everyone thought they were going to get married, have you the right way, and be together forever. But he just kept getting gigs and moved out to L.A, and he booked Not Another Teen Movie, and your mom just couldnât do it. So she kept you a secret, knowing that it wouldâve been career suicide for him. You only found out when she died and you needed a copy of your birth certificate to take to the state.
âAre you telling him?â Your best friend since childhood asked. You nodded, turning to him.
âI have to.â You heard the doorbell downstairs. Chris must have just come in downstairs. You braced yourself. Youâd told your grandmother that as soon as he got there, direct him upstairs, and youâd take it from there. They were surprisingly supportive of it all, but you had a feeling that they just wanted someone else to pay for your college when the time came.
âCome find me when everythingâs over, okay?â Your best friend took you in a hug before leaving your room. You were standing there for another minute, yellow envelope in the center of your bed, when a slightly familiar face knocked on the open doorway. It was Chris. And for a second, you froze. You didnât want to de-rail his life like this, but after just seeing him, you knew you needed him. You nearly started crying then.
âHey, Y/n, youâre Laurenâs daughter, right?â He asked. âYou might not know me, but your Mom and I dated until up around the time you came around.â You turned around, nodding, and picked up the envelope.
âThatâs why I asked you to come up here,â you replied. âIâm sorry Iâm doing this now, but I just found out when my mom died, and I thought⌠I thought youâd want to know.â You handed him the envelope. He looked at you curiously, then started opening the envelope. He looked over the birth certificate first, shaking his head like he didnât understand, and then his eyes landed on the section about parents.
      Father: Christopher Robert Evans
âWhat?â He asked loudly. You thought he was angry because it sure sounded that way, and you fell into the armchair that you kept in the corner of the room. âThis is impossible.â
âYou hooked up right before you left for L.A. to film,â you reminded him. âAnd my mom didnât tell you because she didnât want to ruin your life. And I donât want to ruin it either, I just really⌠I just really wanted to know who my dad was. I donât expect anything, I just wanted you to know.â You stood up again, about to take the envelope from him. His eyes were tearing up. In the past few days youâd done a deep dive on him and you knew he wanted a wife and kids, but you knew he wouldnât want it this way.
âIâm sorry,â you said. He shook his head, putting the envelope aside, and sat down on your bed.
âNo, donât be sorry, this isâŚâ He blinked back tears and sighed. âGod dammit, Lauren.â
âThatâs what I said too.â He offered you a small smile. âI only found out after she died and CPS asked for my birth certificate to prove who my grandparents were. And I saw you, and I justâŚâ
âWhy didnât you call me right away?â He asked. âI couldâve been here so much sooner. I couldâveâŚâ
âBecause I didnât want to stress you out more than telling you at your exâs funeral.â You could see a range of emotions on his face; fear, anger, sadness, happiness.
âThen I guess Iâm your dad,â he said as he looked up at you again. âYou do kinda look like me. But your mom was always so gorgeous.â You smiled a little. âThis is a lot.â
âI know. Iâm sorry.â You stood up, to take the envelope back, and he stood up too. He was smiling as he engulfed you in a tight hug. You didnât know what to do with your hands, with anything, but you hugged him back.
âThen, um⌠I donât wanna ask you to leave your momâs funeral, but would you like to go somewhere else? To talk? You and me?â You nodded.
âIâve been wanting to get out of here all day.â He smiled and wiped a tear away from his eye with the sleeve of his suit jacket. You went to your closet, grabbed a jacket, and followed him. You went up to your grandmother, explaining that you were going to talk with him, and she just nodded and let you go. You walked to Chrisâs car and he let you into the passenger seat.
âI guess your momâs probably taken you to our old hangout spot, right?â He asked as he started the car.
      âThe diner?â
âYeah.â You nodded and smiled and he started driving toward that direction. âYouâre taking this really well.â
âBelieve it or not, I was hoping Iâd get a chance to talk to you anyway. I mean, I knew Lauren had you, and I knew⌠I was going to tell you that if you ever needed anyone, I would be there. But now I feel like maybe I should tell you that over some greasy food.â  You couldnât help but laugh. In ten minutes you were sitting in the diner your mom had basically raised you in, ordering your favorite grilled cheese ever, and you were happy to be with him finally. Youâd always wondered what kind of man your father would be, and if the past fifteen minutes were any kind of indication, he was a good guy.
âSo tell me about yourself, come on. Give me something to go off of.â You smiled.
âUhh, well I like theater,â you started. He grinned. âMom always told me I had to be careful or I would end up in California one day.â He laughed.
âShe always hated California. She was ridiculous about it. She always refused to come out there with me.â
âShe was scared of planes,â you clarified. âOne time we flew out to New York for a weekend and she was freaking out the whole time we were off the ground. She made my hand turn purple because she was holding it so hard.â
âYeah, she tended to do that. She hated two things more than anything. Flying, andâŚâ
âFlying and George W. Bush,â you finished for him, knowing that was exactly what he was about to say. He chuckled and took a sip of the water heâd gotten. âI never understood why she hated him so much when there are so many terrible people out there and heâs just not the worst.â
âYeah, I always thought the same thing. But your mom picked her battles. And George W. Bush was just one of her victims.â He took another sip of water.
âSo tell me about you. All I know is youâre some big actor guy.â
âIâm no Clooney. Iâm shooting a show right now, so Iâm out here for awhile. I have a dog, Dodger, heâs my best friend.â
âI always wanted a dog, but Mom never let me get one.â Chris took out his phone and showed you an entire photo album of pictures of the dog. âAww, heâs so cute!â You said.
âI know, right? Heâs the best. You should meet him. You will meet him. âCause weâre family now, kid, whether you like it or not.â
He wasnât wrong â a week later and youâd worked it out with the courts that you were allowed to live with him, full time. The two of you spent the next full weekend painting a room in his house and hanging out with his dog. Until you moved in two weeks later, he would swing by every night and make you dinner or just come watch a movie with you. Your grandparents supported it, saying that if you were happy, they were, too.
âPick up that side, I got this side,â he instructed as you were moving into his house. Heâd bought you a nice desk for your room when everything was finalized and you could live with him while staying in the same school district, and you were trying to get it up the stairs without scraping the hallway.
âOkay, I think I got it,â you said, helping him pick it up, and ever so slowly you moved up the stairs until you could put it down on a tarp and slide it into your new room. Heâd encouraged you to do whatever you wanted with it, so youâd painted it your favorite color, heâd gone to Urban Outfitters with you and helped you pick out a comforter, and it was slowly coming together. It was starting to feel like home, even if all of your things were in the guest room next door.
âAnd I think we got it, put it down really slow,â he said as you crossed the threshold to your new room. âGood job. I can slide it the rest of the way in.â You helped him put it down and turned your attention to the dog behind you.
âYou like it?â You asked Dodger, your new best friend, as you sat down on the tarp with him to pet him. You had turned away from Chris. If you hadnât you would have seen the massive grin on his face as he saw you, his daughter, with his best friend.
âAlright. Iâm gonna go take a quick shower and get ready to head out. I really donât have to go if you donât want me to,â he said to you. You stood back up, hugging him from the side. âReally.â
âItâs fine,â you replied. âItâs your job. Iâll be fine for one night, I spent sixteen years without you.â He smirked, messing up your ponytail with his hand.
âYeah, and weâre making up for that time now.â
      âIâll be fine.â He sighed.
âThatâs my girl.â You watched him go to his room. He was going to New York to record a segment for Jimmy Fallon, and even though he would be back the next day you knew you were going to miss him. Heâd already run the questions by you that morning, and most of them were about you. He was prepared to say yes, he found out that he had a daughter, and you were fine with it. You were going to have to get used to having a dad who the whole world knew. You were fine with sharing, really, because it meant that you finally had a father at all.
You let him leave and set the security system. Your mom worked late nights and you had been used to spending the night alone, but Chrisâs neighborhood was much better than hers, and his parents were three blocks over if you needed anything. Heâd left a debit card so you could order some food for yourself, and after feeding Dodger you settled in on the couch to watch the segment heâd recorded earlier in the day.
âHi, how are you?â Chris had asked the host as he sat down. Dodger crawled up onto your lap with you, shoving himself underneath your blanket, and laid his head on your chest like he was watching the TV, too.
âGood, good, Iâm good,â the host replied. âNow I understand you were in a bit of a shock a couple of months ago, am I right? When you found outâŚâ
âI found out I have a sixteen year-old daughter, yeah,â Chris said in response. âYeah. Her mom passed away and she found out from the birth certificate and then I found out about the same time she did. Itâs been a complete whirlwind, but now I wouldnât trade her for anything. Sheâs a good kid. Sheâs smart, she loves theater like I did when I was her age, sheâs an all-around good kid. And Iâve always wanted a family, and just getting one overnight and getting along with her from the instant we met was amazing. It was unexpected, but it was amazing.â
âAnd you just went all this time without even knowing?â
âYeah. Itâs insane that I just didnât know about her all this time and itâs crazy because sheâs so similar to me. Weâre very close in a lot of ways, her personality and sense of humor is very similar to mine. Itâs just wild how much weâre alike.â
âThatâs amazing! Is she living with you now?â
âYeah, we actually moved her in a few days ago, we picked up a desk this morning, sheâs getting all settled in over the break before she goes back to school in the fall. Iâm just lucky that Iâm shooting the show Iâm working on in Boston, so itâs kind of like a regular nine to five, so weâre getting a chance to learn how to be a family and just get to know each other and make up for all of this lost time.â
âThatâs really amazing. Congratulations for all of that, thatâs incredible. So go ahead and tell us about the show youâre working on now?â You turned the TV down a little bit, since Chris had told you about his show to the point of nausea. You were glad that the world knew now. You sat up, letting Dodger off of you, and walked into the kitchen to order something to eat for dinner.
âY/N?â Your dad called the next morning as he walked into the house. He could see that you had been on the couch last night, since the blanket was still un-folded and his debit card was on the coffee table. âY/n, honey, Iâm back!â He walked up the stairs to see you in your room, decorating the wall behind your bed with what had been in your old room.
âHey, how was it?â You asked him, climbing down from your bed. He walked forward and gave you a hug, like he always did. He was a hugger, you had figured out, and it was fine because you were too.
âGood. It went pretty smoothly. Are you hungry? I was going to make some breakfast.â You nodded.
      âThank you.â
âWeâre family now. And if I canât make you eggs and bacon, what can I do?â You smiled and watched as he went downstairs. A few minutes later and he was calling your name again, having made a breakfast much bigger than just eggs and bacon. âDid you watch the segment last night?â He asked.
âYeah,â you responded. âYou talked awful highly of me like I wasnât planning on throwing a massive party last night.â He smirked.
âThatâs something I wouldâve done when I was your age,â he said. âReally, though. I wasnât lying. Iâm glad I found you, kid. Even if it was by complete accident.â He brushed your shoulder with his. You could tell he was being serious.
âYeah, Iâm glad I found you too.â
A/N: I hope you like it! I thought this was such a cute request so I hope I did it justice đĽş

âIâve seen you beforeâ
Oikawa x fem!reader
Sum: Taking a deep breath, letting down your guard, getting out of your comfort zone. Opening the wall you built around your heart a long time ago.
You let Oikawa Tooru in.
But was it a mistake?
Warnings: swearing because I have no r e s t r a i n t. Insecurity, bullying. Oikawa being a dumbass. Angst and fluff. Small spoiler at the end.
Word count: A lot, itâs....itâs long. My stupid tablet doesn't have word count capabilities
A/n: this is based on a dream I had. How dare the dream gods give me oikawa and not my husbando(s) tendou(kirishima) đŠ and I write to get scenarios out of my head before they drive me insane
Well at least he's pretty
ok I đŤmayđŤ have fallen a little while writing this
It had been a long weekend of practice and homework for Oikawa. So what better way to zoneout and relax before bed on Sunday night then scroll through his instagram feed.
He'd been scrolling through random sunset photos when he suddenly saw your face in the 'suggested for you' section. Your picture was of you with what he assumed was your cat perched on your shoulder. It was cute. You were cute.
And you did look familiar. Yes, he has seen you before. He's seen you at school. You're always by yourself, reading a book or on your phone sitting on a bench by the front gates.
He tapped on your photo. He started looking through your posts. Landscapes, food, your cute cat, flowers, sunsets, your family. Is what you mostly posted.
Then he came across the rare selfie.
He was wrong. You weren't just cute.
You were breathtakingly beautiful.
How had he not seen that at school?
You were looking off to the side, a small shy smile on your lips. Sunlight and cherry blossom petals in your wild wind blown hair.
He saw that you were online.
He wanted to talk to you and he didn't have the patience to wait until tomorrow at school.
Hey I've seen you before. You go to Aoba Johsai right?
A message popped up on your phone. One from Aoba Johsai's resident pretty boy and captain of the volleyball club. Oikawa Tooru. What the fuck? You weren't one of his pathetic fan girls that fawned all over him. You never cared for the drama that followed the popular crowd. And in all honestly he kind of repulsed you because of the way he let his ego be stroked. You saw him as a pompous ass. You've never shown any kind of interest in the setter. So why was he messaging you of all people? But curiosity got the better of you and you wrote back. Not like he's gonna talk to you at school anyway. He's popular and you're a loner. Two different worlds.
You know that sounds creepy right? But yes.
I'm just trying to be friendly đ
I've seen that you sit mostly by yourself and thought you could use a friend đ
You snorted. Maybe he wasn't as bad as you thought. Still, you didn't want to be too friendly towards him.
I don't care for hs drama but thanks for your chivalry ig đ
At this moment your college aged sister begged you to help with one of her cosmetology classes that's due tomorrow. Eyelash extensions. You don't wear makeup but she's your sister and she's giving you puppy dog eyes. You sighed, "Fine." Forgetting to exit out of your messages, you set your phone down, ready to be put through hell.
"Thanks sis! Okay I just need you to lay down and relax." While she got to work the messages on your phone went unnoticed by you.
I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that, promise đ
Y/l/n?
You there?
I'm REALLY sorry!
It's rude to leave people on read yk
Please ?
Y/l/n-chan?
Oikawa was panicking. He didn't mean to piss you off...and now he might have lost his chance to be your friend...or more maybe?
Trying to face time couldn't hurt right?
It just rang. And rang. And rang.
You didn't pick up.
Please. Y/n I'm truly sorry. Sometimes my mouth gets the better of me and I don't think about what I say. I just meant I'd like to be your friend. If you'd let me?
"All finished, babe." Your sister said. "You're looking gorgeous! If I do say so myself." She took a quick after picture for her class.
You grimaced. You never thought of yourself as pretty let alone gorgeous. "Thanks, I guess. Not one to toot your own horn, huh?"
She just rolled her eyes. " Your phone has been pinging like crazy by the way." Wiggling her eyebrows, "Talking to a boy? My baby sis, all grown up."
"W-what?" You stuttered, picking up your phone. 8 messages and 1 face time call. All from the setter captain. It must be your imagination because in the last message he sounded...flustered? You didn't notice the soft smile that graced your lips. But your annoying sister did.
"Oikawa. Isn't he some volleyball big shot at your school? Y/n, is that a smile I see?" She grinned from over your shoulder, seeing the messages.
"I-. Yes. He is." Furrowing your brows. Denying the truth, "And no, I am not smiling."
"Mmhm. Sooo you going to have a new 'friend' or what."
Your self consciencesness got the better of you. "Why would he want to be my friend? He's him and I'm...me." You bit your lip.
"You idiot. You really don't give yourself enough credit. Your smart, have a kind heart and you are beautiful. You just don't let yourself see it. Let someone in." She whispered in your ear giving you a hug.
You sighed. You believed that your sister believed in what she was saying...but years of middle school bullying ingrained into your heart and mind don't disappear overnight. "I'm tired. I'm gonna go to bed. 'Night sis."
"Good night y/n."
Getting ready for bed you looked in the mirror. You had a tiny smile, your sister was right, the lashes did look great.
It was late but right before you drifted off to sleep you sent Oikawa a message.
Sorry. I'm not mad, I was helping my sister with something...
Taking a deep breath, letting down your guard, getting out of your comfort zone.
Opening the wall you built around your heart a long time ago.
You let Oikawa Tooru in.
...I wouldn't mind having a friend
The next day
He woke up to two new messages from you. He had tried staying up, waiting for a reply back but he must have fallen asleep. His phone still in his hand.
Sorry. I'm not mad, I was helping my sister with something...
...I wouldn't mind having a friend.
A wide sleepy smile came across his face. Just about the time he was going to dm you his phone died. Where's my damn charger? He started rifling through everything, turning his room upside down. The last place he had it was...the locker room.
"Dammit!" He would just have to see you at school. He quickly got ready to go meet Iwa-chan and walk to school.
You weren't necessarily disappointed that Oikawa hadn't replied yet. Even though you had lowered your walls, you set the bar pretty low on expectations. Especially on a friendship with him. But that didn't stop you from being a little excited to see him. You were sitting in your favorite spot at school, reading. Same thing you did every day. It was on a small stone bench in the shade of a cherry tree near the entrance. Abruptly you heard a chorus of squealing. You've learned throughout high school this meant Oikawa had stepped on campus, Iwaizumi reluctantly in tow.
You smiled and waved.
He didn't see. But you didn't know that.Â
You thought he was ignoring you. Your smile faded. Last night must have been some prank. It wouldn't have been the first time someone decided it would be funny to play with you like a toy. You never should have listened to your sister and let your guard down.
Tears started to prick your eyes. You shut them tightly, willing them to not fall.
You were not going to cry over Oikawa fucking Tooru.
You grabbed you bag and headed to your classroom.
He had seen you get off the bench and walk towards the building. He tried making his way to you but there was just too many girls blocking him. Letting out a frustrated breath he waved his hand and yelled, "Y/l/n-chan!"
You didn't hear him.
Upset he couldn't get to you he said the only thing he could think of to get all these girls to back off for once. "I have a girlfriend, so could you please respect that." He didn't see the crazy girls make a connection between what he said about having a girlfriend and yelling your name.
He didn't realize he just put a target on your back.
At lunch
You were spinning the dial to your locker getting your lunch when you were shoved against it. You turned around and was met with several angry looking girls. Eyes darting between them. Your fight or flight instincts kicking in.
But nobody ever mentions the third option, which is what happened.
You froze.
"This is her?" Some girl sneered.
What were they talking about? You'd never done anything to these girls. You'd always kept to yourself, ensuring a situation like this wouldn't happen.
"She's not even pretty." Said another taking a sip from her juice carton.
"I bet it's just some joke. He wouldn't be with some fat worthless nobody." The girl who seemed to be the leader said as she pushed you to the ground.
Ignoring the tears starting to run down your cheeks and swallowing the lump forming in your throat, "What are you talking about?"
"Wow, Oikawa has himself a stupid girlfriend." said the leader.
"G-girlfriend?" Ok. Now you really had no clue what the fuck they were talking about.
"Stay the hell away from him. He's mine." With that she dumped the remains of the other girls juice carton on you and they walked away laughing.
Holditin.Holditin.Holditin. You chanted inside your head until you made it to the bathroom where you could cry without being bothered. You had stayed off the radar for years and now you were in the middle of it. You let out a sob, sliding to the floor. You felt like you were right back in middle school. Useless. Fat. Ugly. You brought your knees to your chest. Unloveable. Unwanted. Not worth anybodyâs time. Thatâs why you shut everyone out when you became a first year at Seijoh. You didnât want a repeat of middle school.Â
But it ended up happening anyway.Â
So you cried. You cried until you had no more tears. You let it all out until you didnât care anymore. You had no problem in obeying the threat staying away from the bastard. She could have him. You stood and splashed water on your face trying to ease the puffiness around your eyes. Sighing you realized you'd probably have to stay after school until you looked like you hadn't spent your entire lunch break crying or your sister would ask questions. The now pink stained shirt you could explain away easily. The red and puffy eyes you could not. And you didn't want to deal with that on top of everything else.Â
Oikawa had looked for you at lunch but he couldn't find you. He did however hear some girls laughing and chatting about messing with âOikawaâs girlfriendâ. How could they mess with someone he made up? He turned to his best friend to ask. âIwa-chan do you know what those girls were talking about?â he whispered so no one would hear, âHow could they have messed with my âgirlfriendâ when I made her up?â
âIdiot. Remember this morning when you called Y/l/nâs name and then immediately after said you had a girlfriend? And don't call me Iwa-chan, Shittykawa.â He rolled his eyes.
He blanched. He hadnât realized what he'd done. Or apparently how psycho those girls are. He was so focused on you he didn't even whine about Iwaizumiâs regular insults. He wanted to find you and see if you were okay. To apologize for putting you in that situation. Standing abruptly making his chair screech, âI got to go find her--â The bell signaled lunch was over. Fuck. Maybe sheâll be on that bench after school. Iâve seen her there after practice sometimes.
After school
And by some miracle you were there, reading your book. Oikawa took a minute to look at you before he approached. As in your picture your hair was wild but not unkept, it was hiding your eyes. Your lips were slightly pursed while you were reading and your leg was bouncing contentedly. Â
You were beautiful.
You looked okay.
Until he got closer and finally saw your eyes. You had obviously been crying. By the looks of it a lot. He also saw you had a huge pink stain on your shirt. What had happened?
You had heard someone approach but decided it was best to ignore them.
âAre you okay Y/l/n-chan?â Oikawa spoke softly.
You were so not in the mood for this. For him. Your hands tightened around your book, flicking your eyes up at him and then back down, âDonât.âÂ
It was only a second but he saw the hurt in your eyes and it was his fault it was there, âI wanted to-â He tried to say but you didnât let him finish.
Your voice was raw with emotions you didnât want to feel for him. âWHAT?! You what? Wanted to play with my feelings some more? I bet you had a good laugh last night saying all that shit. And then completely ignoring me this morning when I waved. Making me feel like I could actually have a friend for once?â Your voice got louder and he flinched at your next words. âThat someone would even want to be my friend? I fucking knew I shouldn't have but I let you in anyway.â You let out a dark broken laugh and said much quieter, âEven after what happened last time.â Coldly, âDonât you have a harem to get back to? Just...just leave me alone Oikawa.â
His mouth dropped in shock. He hadnât seen you wave. What did you mean by last time? He was heartbroken that someone had made you feel this horrible about yourself and he had reminded you of it. He didnât want to leave you alone, he had to make you understand you were special. He laid his hand on your book trying to make you pay attention. He said the only thing he thought would make you listen. âTooru.â
You stiffened, nobody calls him by his first name. You've never even heard his best friend call him Tooru. Your voice barely above a whisper, heart stuttering, âWhat did you say?â
âTooru. You can call me Tooru. I-I was happy this morning when I woke up when I saw your messages. But my phone died before I could say anything.â He cleared his throat, â I fell asleep waiting. I was going to talk to you but then that stupid crowd of girls came. Y/l/n I swear I didnât see you wave! I tried calling for you but you must not have heard me," he frowned, "and I was frustrated so to get them to back off I said I had a girlfriend. I tried looking for you during lunch period but I couldn't find you. Then I heard what those girls did. Iâm sorry I put that target on you. I was going to try looking for you again but then the bell rang. This spot after school was my last hope. Well for now anyway, until I got my phone charged.â He rushed out, praying you would forgive him.Â
âThatâs what they were talking about...âÂ
âWhat were they saying? If you donât mind talking about it.â Gingerly he laid his hand on yours, holding it.
During his speech you had unconsciously torn your walls down yet again. You heard the sincerity in his voice and saw the concern in his eyes. This was real. He did care. Fuck. Somewhere between last night and this morning you had developed feelings, you just hadn't wanted to believe you weren't immune to his charms. Why did it have to be him. You swallowed, âThey basically said I was worthless and wasnât pretty enough for you. They also shoved me against my locker and onto the floor.â Taking a deep breath you revealed the most humiliating part of the whole thing, âTheir leader dumped juice on me.â You looked away not wanting him to see the tears starting to run down your cheeks and you didn't want to see the pity you were sure to receive in his eyes.Â
âHey.â He gently turned your face with a palm on each cheek. Wiping your tears away with his thumbs. âYou are not worthless. And those girls are just jealous because your the most beautiful girl at Seijoh. Iâm sorry they said and did those things to you. It was my fault and I want to make it up to you if youâll let me.â
You searched his face, surely he was lying to make you feel better? But you only found the truth in his warm brown eyes. Oikawa may be an ass but he does not lie. âOkay...Tooru.âÂ
His heart fluttered when you spoke his name. Little did he know that yours did too when he asked you to call him that.
âCome on, lets go.â He smiled pulling you up. âI got something you can change into so you donât have to wear that home.â He pointed to your ruined shirt.
You and him walked over to the gym. He had never let your hand go from pulling you up and you didnât mind. You halted at the entry way dropping his hand. He was going to lead you in but, âTooru, I can't. Only players and managers can go in the gym during practice time.â
He snorted, âIwa-chan made that rule so the uhâ he coughed, âstudents wouldn't bother us.â Taking your hand he pulled you in after him.Â
Your face was blushing like mad from the looks you were getting from his teammates. Nobody questioned their captain though.Â
âPlease wait here while I change and grab you something.â He left you at the bleachers.Â
Iwaizumi walked over to where you were sitting. Before he could say anything you spoke. âIâm sorry. I know Iâm not allowed in here but he drug me in and said he was going to get me something to change into." You plucked at your still sticky shirt. "I-I'll leave when Tooru comes back.â You found it easy for Tooru's name to roll of your tongue.Â
The usually intimidating looking ace smirked and raised an eyebrow, âTooru, huh? We don't let students in during practice because they follow Oikawa in. He brought you in here. So you can stay if you want.â
You let out a surprised, âOh.âÂ
âYou know he couldn't stop talking about you on the way to school this morning? About how he saw this and I quote âbreathtakingly beautifulâ photo of you on instagram. He kept talking about your hair with cherry blossom petals in it and your shy smile.âÂ
Your face was on fire. You knew the exact photo he was talking about. How far back did he scroll, it was buried under a ton of pictures.
âHe was also worried about you the rest of the day after lunch. He was pretty upset, he even threatened to cancel practice if he didnât find you on your bench.â
âIwa-channnn!â Oikawa whined. âFriends keep secrets.â He didnât look mad but his face was a light shade of pink. Was he...embarrassed?
âEw. Iâm not your friend Shittykawa.â Iwaizumi replied walking away. You laughed quietly, his tone said otherwise.
Except it wasn't just any shirt, it was his jersey. âI canât wear this! Only couples do that!â
âYou're right! You're my best friend!â Tooru called back.
He was met with a middle finger and a "Shut it, Tooru."
âAnyways here. You can change in the girls locker room over there.â He handed you one of his shirts and pointed to the room.
He shrugged his shoulders. âWell I did inadvertently call you my girlfriend. You wouldn't want to make me a liar now would you Y/l/n-chan?â He pouted.
âN-no, but I'm not your girlfriend?â You remembered the things Iwaizumi told you, your face deepening to a scarlet shade.
He took a step closer. You could smell his scent. He smelled like oranges, cloves and...clean sweat? Of course he could make sweat smell intoxicating. It was making your brain hazy. You almost missed what he said. âDo you? Want to be I mean.â The look he was giving you was so genuine and...sweet.
This was too much too fast, but your mouth and heart didn't care apparently what you thought. âI-.â You breathed. âYes.â
His face lit up, taking one of your hands into his. âWeâll talk more after practice, yeah?âÂ
All you could do is nod. Squeezing your hand as he left to go start practice you went to go change your shirt. It was long on you. Almost falling to the same spot your uniform skirt stopped. You rolled it up a little and tucked it in. That was better.
After changing you returned to your spot on the bleachers. You'd been to games before. It was practically an unsaid rule that all students were required to go. But you really never paid attention, usually doing anything but watching to kill time.
This time you paid attention. Tooru was remarkable. You could see why he was captain and how he got the nickname 'the great king'. You were so entrapped by the teams flow you didn't notice the hours fly by.
Tooru came back over to you, asking somewhat nervously, "So what did you think?" He didn't know why it felt so important to get praise from you. He just knew he wanted you to be proud of him.
Your smile was open and you had stars in your eyes, "You were amazing!" Dipping your toe at being flirty, you winked, "l'll have to pay better attention at the next game."
His heart leapt. You said he was amazing. "Thank you, that means so much coming from you." The second part finally clicked, "Hey wait! What do you mean you'll have to pay better attention at the next game?" He teased.
Sheepishly, "I never uh...actively watched a game before."
"That hurts Y/l/n-chan. Just you wait until the next game." He smiled, "So can I walk you home? It's late and you shouldn't walk by yourself."
"Sure. I don't live far though." You returned his smile.
After he went and changed out of his practice clothes he outstretched his hand for you to take, interlacing your fingers with his. When you got to the gates he asked which way. You pulled him to the left. You curious about earlier.
"So about what Iwaizumi said..." You left the question hanging in the air.
"He was telling the truth." He said it so simply, like he just didn't turn your world upside-down.
"Oh." Was all you could manage with all the butterflies in your stomach. Before you knew it you were in front of your house. "This is me." You turned to face him.
"Really? Iwa-chan and I live one street over."
"You're joking." He had to be.Â
"Nope, cross my heart." More seriously "Do you want to walk to school with us maybe?"
"I'd like that, Tooru." Shyly you peeked up at him through your lashes.
"Hey, I noticed before." He traced a thumb over your cheekbone, brushing against your fluttering eyelashes. "Your eyes look different some how?"
You let out a small chuckle, "Eye lash extensions. That's what I was helping my sister with last night. She's in a cosmetology class."
He leaned down, getting very close. "They suit you Y/l/n-chan."
Clearing your throat. "Um, thanks." A beat later, "Call me Y/n."
His eyes softened. "Can I kiss you, Y/n?"
Your breath caught. "Y-yes."
He closed the distance between the two of you. Your eyes shutting and heart thumping wildly with anticipation.
You did not expect the feather light touch of his lips ghosting over yours. You did not expect such a tender kiss from the popular setter captain.
At first your lips only brushed against each others. Testing. Until you couldn't stand it any longer. He had lit a fire inside. You leaned in closer, needing more. Pressing your lips against his and moving one hand onto the back of his neck and the other onto his shoulder pulling him closer. He took this queue to hold your waist. As you kissed time stood still. You couldn't tell if the fire inside was tearing you apart or if he was holding you together. There was just you and him, the world had long ago faded away.
He was surprised you took control of the kiss but was glad you did. He didn't want to push you after everything you'd been through. And honestly he could barely think straight. Could barely breathe. Your lips were so soft and they tasted like honey. He didn't want it to end, he would have happily drowned surrounded by air if it meant he could kiss you.
But you pulled away breathless and eyes bright. You leaned into the comfort of his arms.
 That was your first kiss.
"I'll be waiting here tomorrow Y/n." He pressed his lips to the crown of your head.
"Alright." You looked up at him. "Message me when you get home 'kay?"
"Will do, my queen." The name sent tingles down your spine. Once again putting his lips to yours. "Good night."
"'Night Tooru." You slipped out of his embrace and before you made your way inside, you gave him one last wave goodbye. Dazed you shut the door behind you with your back and brought your fingers to your smiling lips.
"'Friends' huh? Lot different in my day." Your sister said from the couch, her eyes catching on his jersey.
Still grinning like a fool, "Shut up." You headed upstairs to start on your homework. About ten minutes later you received a text. Smiling you opened it.
Made it home safe and sound. And now I'm going to sleep so I can dream of you đ
Who knew 'the great king' was such a goofball.
Sweet dreams then, goofball
They will be because you'll be in them â¤
Rude, my queen, rude
Good night Tooru â¤
But thatâs why you like meÂ
Rolling your eyes, you grinned.
The next morning he was right where he said he would be. Waiting for you. Iwaizumi with him of course. âMorning Iwaizumi.â
âGood morning Y/l/n.â Iwaizumi greeted.
You said taking your boyfriends hand. âMorning Tooru.â You were feeling confident this morning so you tugged him down a little so you could reach his face, pecking him on the lips.
His eyes widened. He definitely didn't expect that, not that he was complaining. âG-good morning Y/n.â A rosy hue dusting his cheeks.
You giggled at his reaction.Â
âI guess the right girl turns you into a flustered mess.â Iwaizumi joked.
"I make you a flustered mess huh? I wouldnât mind taking advantage of that.â You nudged him playfully as you all started to make your way to school.
âNo fair. I wonât allow you and Iwa ganging up on me!â He tilted his head towards your ear, whispering for only you to hear. âBesides, my queen, I give as good as I get.â
You choked. And he didn't miss the red on your face. Oh boy. If he kept up with that name you were going to become a puddle. Clearing your throat awkwardly, âAh look, weâre here!â
Unfortunately you were met with his swarm of âfansâ. At the head of it all were the bitches that made you feel like shit. Tooru felt you hesitate and gave your hand a reassuring squeeze and looked at you with such adoration in his eyes. That was all you needed. You were going to show these girls you werenât afraid of them. You hoped he wouldn't mind your sudden boldness.
Turning towards him and standing on your tippy toes you grabbed the back of his neck and crashed your lips against his. This kiss was much deeper than the one you shared last night. You'd even go so far to say passionate. Last night was tentative, figuring each other out. This kiss you poured in all your feelings, all of your heart and soul. Pulling away slightly, resting your forehead against his and playing with the hair near where your hand rested on his neck, âUm, sorry if that was too much.â
You turned to face the mostly shocked crowd. The only angry one was the leader girl. Remembering what she said yesterday, âIâm his.â He wasnât some possession to own. But you were free to give your heart to him, if he wanted it. Really you didnât expect him to say anything during this exchange but he did.Â
God, you were perfect he thought. With a stupid smile on his face, âN-no donât be sorry. Not at all.âÂ
It made your heart catch in your throat.
âAnd Iâm hers.â The girls mouth dropped open. âCome on. Letâs go, my queen.â he said pressing his lips to your knuckles, sending a shiver up your back.
âTooru!â You squeaked. That damn pet name. You knew no matter how many times he said it, it would still make you weak in the knees and make your heart leap. And he fucking knew it. You walked hand in hand to your spot under the cherry tree. âDonât call me that when a bunch of people are around...â
âWhy not? Itâs true. And you like it.â He gave you a cheeky look. âBesides that passionate kiss you gave me was pretty public.â
A blush creeping up your neck, âI-shut up.â
Chuckling he brought you into a hug, âWhatever you wish, my queen.â
EpilogueÂ
As the months passed you and Tooru grew closer together and his âfan clubâ realized you weren't going anywhere. Sure some still tried to bring you down but over the months you had gained some confidence in yourself. You weren't as insecure but when you fell Tooru was there to help you pick yourself back up. You had also become good friends with the volleyball guys, especially Iwa. You had a special bond over teasing your boyfriend. Even though you both teased him relentlessly he was happy two of his favorite people got along so well. In fact he had asked if you had wanted to officially become a manager. You practically were now anyway he said so why not make it official. Of course you agreed.Â
It was only your third game as a manager when they lost to Karasuno. You knew how bad he wanted to go to nationals. It was his dream and this was his last chance. He was sitting on the floor outside the gym, head hung low in devastation. You knew words were not what he wanted to hear right now. He just needed you to be there for him. You sat down next to him, waiting. He gently pulled you onto his lap, burying his head in the crook of your shoulder. Holding you closely. He was silent but you felt his warm tears fall on your skin. You held him and hummed a slow melody quietly in his ear. After awhile he kissed your temple.
âThank you.â He whispered. He was ready talk.
âIâm here for you, always. Youâre my king, win or lose. And I am so so proud of you.â A small smile lifted one side of his mouth.
You were going to tell him something important today. No matter what happened. Maybe he needed to hear it especially because of what happened. You took a deep breath and kissed his forehead briefly. One hand on his cheek and looking into his still tear stained eyes.Â
âI know the world has greater things than nationals waiting for you. You may not feel like it now but believe me when I say it. You are so much more than what you think you are and....and thatâs why I love you, Tooru.â
He searched your face looking for pity or disappointment but all he found was love. For weeks those three words had been just under the surface, waiting to be spoken into existence, always on the tip of his tongue at the end of every conversation with you or even when he would see you do small simple things. Hearing the love in your voice and the feeling of you mend his shattered heart about nationals they finally broke free.
 âI love you too, Y/n.â
He might have been your first kiss but you were his first love and he wanted you to be his last.
He gently ran his thumb against your bottom lip.
And he kissed you with everything he had, like it would be his last.
But.
There was many more to come...

The Big Bang
Yoongi SMUT
Happy 4th of July to my Dirty Little American Friends
Nervous didn't even begin to describe it. Terrified, panic stricken, petrified, you were experiencing all of it.Â
Usually the one to calm your anxiety, you looked at your boyfriend, Yoongi was just as bad off as you.Â
"It's going to be fine, they'll love you because I love you."
You squeezed his hand trying to reassure him as much as yourself. "So because they have no choice?" He laughed a little.Â
"Fuck, you know I didn't mean it like that."Â
You pulled the car into the driveway and took a deep breath, "It'll be good... I promise."Â
Not that it wasn't awkward, it really was, but things were going smoother than expected.Â
Studying his English diligently since you'd met, he was trying really hard to make conversation. Standing back you watched him, beer in hand talking to your Dad as he grilled.Â
You loved him. He was so far from home, so far from his comfort zone but here he was, just for you.Â
Catching his eye you couldn't help but light up, he smiled at you as you made your way over.Â
"Try this," you held the fork to his mouth. "umm, It's good."Â
"It's mom's Dorito Salad."Â
"When we get home you should make it for Jeongguk, he'd love that."Â
Home, it sounded strange. Here you stood in the place you'd been born, surrounded by family and life long friends but it wasn't really home anymore.Â
He gave your waist a squeeze, "Everything okay?"Â
It was, as long as you had him it didn't matter where you were.Â
"Are you ready to get on the water?"
His smile grew, "Your uncle said I can use his fishing gear."Â
Exhausted from all activities it was definitely nap time.Â
Leading him up the hallway, your tiny dog followed in pursuit as you pushed the door open.
"And this is where the magic happens!"Â
He looked up and down the hall to make sure nobody was around before he caught your lips between his.
"I'm about to sleep in there, I don't want to know about it."Â
You pushed him back onto the fluffy duvet, "You don't have to be jealous baby, It's only ever been me and my imagination."
Swinging a leg over you straddled him as he laid back. "I was however hoping to change that this weekend."Â
Caught up in your words and hands you could feel him getting excited under you. Reaching to undo the top button of his shorts his hand grabbed yours and he moaned. "Stop teasingâŚ"Â
"I'm not teasing, I'm committed to it."
"No...come on baby. I'm not disrespecting your parents like that. They don't want us sleeping together in their house."Â
"Do you always have to be the good guy Yoongi."Â
He nodded, "We're going to be together for a long time baby girl, I don't need to give them a reason to hate me."Â
Rolling off of him in a frustrated huff you could only manage an angry, "fine!"Â
He giggled, "Don't be a spoiled brat, I'll make sure you get properly fucked when the first opportunity comes up."
You leaned back into him for a kiss.
"I'm exhausted, go hang out with your sister so I can nap."
"I get it...I'm going...geez."
You flipped the light switch off and as you were about to close the door you stuck your head back in.
"I love you Yoongi, it really means a lot that you're here with me."Â
"I love you too peach now get the hell out, I'm tired."
He threw a pillow towards you but you closed the door at just the right moment. All you could hear from the hallway was him laughing, "I'm gonna get you next time."
You knocked on the door lightly, he'd been asleep for hours. The time change and the stress had caught up to you both.
Walking into the room you pulled the window shade beside the bed open. The sun was starting to go down but what light was left came in to illuminate his face on your pillow.Â
"Hey sleepy, we're going to go soon. It's time for my favorite part of the holiday!"Â
He sat up and rubbed his eyes, "Fireworks?"Â
"Yes fireworks!!!"
Arriving at the field everyone set up their chairs and blankets.Â
"You want to go up front?"Â he kept walking.
You pulled him back, "No, back of the crowd is always better."Â
Everyone was in their own world, coolers were stocked with snacks and alcohol and conversation flowed freely. The air was warm and the sky was growing dark as you sat holding hands.
"You can put your arms around me," you whispered. "Nobody's looking."
His mouth went up into a crooked grin, wrapping his hands around your waist the first firecracker sounded above you.
His eyes shone under the flare, he was so beautiful, relaxed, peaceful, happy. The illuminated display suddenly didn't seem important, you couldn't take it anymore.
Standing up you reached for his hand, "Come on." Grabbing the blanket you motioned to the tree line behind you.Â
Leading him up the path you pulled him into the denser section of the woods. It wasn't as loud and you could just make out the flashes through the leaves.
"What are you doing? Why aren't we watching fireworks?" His confusion was cute.Â
"You promised we could have sex when the opportunity came up remember?"
You kissed his neck knowing you'd need to break down some of his stubborn resolve.Â
"Baby I told you earlier, I can't... your parents."
"1. We aren't in their house. 2. Everyone's drunk and nobodies paying attention 3. It's always been a fantasy to have sex with fireworks going off...please Yoongi? I need you so badly."
He looked around assessing the situation then back at you.
"I wore this dress so you can get in and out nice and easy."
Raising the hem of the shift dress slowly up your thigh, you showed him your secret.
"I'm not wearing any panties."Â
He closed his eyes struggling with his dilemma but his cock was already leading the charge.Â
"I can't believe you're fucking doing this to me, if we get caught i'm telling everyone it was your idea."Â
"We're not gonna get caught I promise." You spread the blanket under the tree, "No one can see and because of the fireworks...no ones gonna hear you moaning but me."
Dropping to your knees you grabbed the waist of his shorts and pulled him closer to you. "Can I suck you for a bit?"Â
He was flustered, "I mean how much time do we have..it can't be that much...can it?"Â
His unusually shy reserve was turning you on.
"Just enough to get you hard.."
"You think I'm not hard? Jesus Y/N, I'm ready to blow"
Pulling down his zipper, he wasn't lying. His cock was at full attention and the light from the overhead explosions highlighted the dribbles of excitement on his tip.Â
The invigorating thrill of getting caught had you just as wet and excited as him. Licking your lips while staring up at him you wrapped your hand around his shaft and pumped him until he moaned.
"Did you miss this?"
He threw his head back as you wrapped your lips around him greedily sucking. It was urgent, rushed and hard, you had a small window of time before the smoke cleared and people scattered.
Popping off of him you laid back and lifted up the fabric of your dress. Exposed on the ground, you drew your finger over your clit enticing him. You felt dirty and you liked it. This place from your childhood, you needed to prove you'd outgrown it, that no matter how everything else had stayed the same you hadn't.Â
"Hurry, please Yoongi."
He got down and lay over you. Cautious no more he anchored himself into your wet waiting core. Everytime you made love he waited for your signal. With hungry eyes you nodded, "Fuck me, hard."Â
Moving quickly he pumped inside you. Rocking his hips forward against your clit, the wetness between you lubricated and heightened every sensation.
Glad for loud banging overhead the expletives dripped off your tongue as he pounded into you. The speed and intensity picked up and the cheering sound came through the trees. The finale of the show spurring on the most intense orgasm you'd ever had.Â
Not having the luxury of time on your side, you pulled yourselves together and ran back to your spot undetected. As the last of the lights dissipated into the night everyone gathered to leave.Â
"So what did you think of it Yoongi?" Your Dad patted him on the back.Â
"Well sir, I don't think I'll ever look at fireworks the same now that I've experienced a real 4th of July party."Â

Colson baker x female reader
requested by anon
âIâm not gonna lie, Iâm really turned on by thatâ
âI canât believe Iâm sitting in a jail cell with you of all peopleâ
âYou wanna get food at 2 am?â
Laying in bed while trying to sleep, back and forth i moved in the bed as my phone went off making my eyes open wide. Sliding my phone open to a new text message from my boyfriend, i rolled my eyes at his message. âYou wanna get food at 2 am?â Realizing the time was only 1 am, i came reluctant to his message but knowing Colson, heâd beg me to get my ass over to his place. Â
Quickly as i changed my clothes, i put my hair in a ponytail and pulled my hoodie over my head. Texting him back âim coming overâ you locked your phone and left your house shortly after.Â
Approaching his house, before you could get out of the car, Colson appeared out of his door and practicality ran over to you at your car.  âBaby!â Running in your arms he noticed your yawn as he let go of you. âAw is my baby tired?â Giving him a glare, i gave him a little punch on the side of his arm. âOuch babe, whats wrong with you?âÂ
Still giving him a hard look, i rolled my eyes. âOf course im tired you texted me about getting food at 2 am which, looking back at your phone it was going on 2 as they spoke, Itâs almost 2 nowâ As they both got into your car, Colson grabbed your hand which made you look at him. âiâm sorry baby, i just missed you and wanted to spend more time with youâ âWe literally saw each other earlier today though?â Colson leaned back into his seat and gave you puppy dog eyes. âi just missed my girl.â Letting out a smile hearing those words you started your car again.Â
The drive to the store was nice and peaceful as you hummed to yourself as your boyfriend watched you here and there. Pulling in the parking lot, you found a spot in the front and turned off the car. Shutting your door, Colson repeated your actions and took a hold of your hand and held it as you both walked up to the entrance of the store.Â
Colson grabbed a cart for you to push around once you started getting in the aisles. âBabe what are we getting?â you asked Colson as looked down the section for the chips. Colson grabbed a couple bags of chips and placed them in the cart as he looked back at me finally. âChips, alcohol, candy, and condomsâ Giving me a knowing look as he mentioned condoms. I followed him around the store and as he finally got to the condoms he looked for his brand. Looking through the brands he found other fun flavors. I could see his smirk as he turned to me.Â
âY/n why donât we get Bacon,Vanilla,Bubblegum,Chocolate,Strawberry and Cola flavored condoms!â Giving Colson a glare as he handed me the package of condoms to look at. âBabe as much as i love are sex life whatâs the point of buying of these?â As Colson took the package back from me he gave me those puppy dog eyes. âThis could be fun baby pleaseâ Shrugging my shoulders i gave out a tired sigh, âfine Colson lets get itâ Following Colson to the self checkout he happily pulled at his card and put the items through the system.Â
As I started the car Colson looked out the window as i was beginning to pass a abandoned park. âY/n can we go to that park?â âWhat no babe donât you wanna go home? itâs going on 3 am nowâ Colson sigh as i stopped at the red light that was next to the empty park. âOh come one baby live a little?â Without looking back at Colson i knew he was gonna be annoying about this. âPLEASE Y/N PLEASEâ âColsoN STOPâ As the light turned green to get him to shut up i turned the corner where the park was and pulled in.Â
Watching Colson get out of the car i followed him to the slide. It was like i was his mom watching him go down the slide as he made funny faces at me. âCome on Y/n come down the slide with meâ As i sat down Colson wrapped his arms around my stomach and kissed my cheek. In my ear he whispered to me. âThanks for taking me hereâ Giving him eye contact i gave him a worried look. âwhatâs wrong love?â âSometimes i just miss being a child and im glad i have you in my life Y/n, i sometimes just need nights like this with you babeâ Giving him a peck on the lips, we went down the slide. Â
As we approached the swings the sound of sirens startled me. Looking around police cars started pulling up. A few men got out and started pointing their guns at us. âPUT YOUR HANDS UPâ As we put our hands up, i started shaking as my nerves played out. âDONâT SHOOT WERE WHITEâ As i shouted that out Colson looked at me funny. âGET OVER HEREâ As the police checked us, Colson groaned as this has happened so many times before. âGET YOUR HANDS OFF MY GIRLFRIENDâ Colson barely yelled in the cops face. â Sir iâm gonna need to you calm down.â The one lady cop spoke up towards your boyfriend.Â
Once the police was done checking me, the cops found weed on Colson as i leaned up against the car being silent. âSir how much weed is on you?â Colson laughed in his face making him push him against my car. âSIR WHAT THE HELL,DONâT FUCKING PUSH MY BOYFRIENDâ âMiss iâm gonna have to ask you to be quietâ I took a step back and grew anger at the officers actions towards colson. âI WILL NOT BE QUIET YOU ARE HURTING MY BOYFRIENDâ Before i could say anything else both Colson and i got pulled in the back of the cop car.Â
Everything happened so fast on the way to the police station, i didnât look at Colson at all. Looking out the window, Colson tired talking to me by whispering at me. âbaby please look at meâ side eyeing him i finally answering him. âwhat Colson im angry right now you got us arrested.â âwhat how is it my fault?â As your eyes scrunched down at him at how dumb he was acting. âYou literally begged me to take you their and yelled at me saying PLEASEâ âOh rightâ Colson whispered back. Â
Once we pulled out of the car one male officer pulled on me a little bit harder. âPull on me a little bit harder im begging youâ i said sarcastically as the officer grabbed my arm he followed the other one who had my boyfriend. It wasnât too long after we were put in a cell. Taking a sit next to my boyfriend i groaned really loud. âI canât believe Iâm sitting in a jail cell with you of all peopleâ Colson held on to me as he felt so bad about this whole situation. âGod iâm so sorry y/n i didnât mean for this to happenedâ Letting go of him i sighed as i put my head on against his shoulder. âgod im stupidâ Coslon looked back at me and shook his head.Â
âNo baby youâre not stupid, itâs my fault like you said before, youâre so amazing, strong, beautiful, im so glad you put up with my shitâ I shook my head back at him. âyeah but right now weâre in a fucking jail cell for trespassing you do realize that right Colson? He nodded at me as he put his hands around my arms. âyeah i do clearly, calm down babeâ After another few minutes a cop came over to us. âYou can have one callâ Before i could get up Colson got up for me. âBabe iâm gonna call Slim okayâ I shook my head at him as i watched him go to the phone.Â
Once Colson finally came back, he reassured me everything was going to okay.As i leaned against the cell so i could strengthen out my legs i could feel Colson stare from the back of my head. âY/n from you being angry to now you stretching out your legs, Iâm not gonna lie, Iâm really turned on by thatâ Walking back over to your boyfriend you hit him upside his head. âOuch baby why did you do that?â âGod iâm dating a idiotâ âYeah but you love this idiotâ Colson replied back as i glared at him. âmaybeâ Hearing him gasp i gave out a little giggle.Â
After another 10 or so minutes Slim walked in and approached us. âGuys what happened!!â âItâs Colsonâs fault we ended up at a park and Colson had weed tooâ âIâm honestly so surprised, Y/n youâre better than thisâ Slim replied. â Are you fucking kidding me Slim? Why arenât you yelling at HIM?â âBecause iâm used to this with Kellsâ Once the cops finally let us go i hopped in the back of Slimâs car. âI Just wanted to have some sleep godâ Resting my eyes i heard the voice of Colson talking to Slim. Â
âThanks manâ Colson whispered to his friend. âOf course man just try not to do this again we donât need this being a regular thingâ Coslon laughed at his friends words.Â

forgotten birthdays and puppies
Everyone in the compound forgets itâs your birthday, so you get a puppy. But bucky is determined to do the most.
some angst and v fluffyyyyy pls request something !!
ââââ-
You woke up disoriented, forgetting what day it was for a second. Last nights mission was a whole mess, but so was every other one honestly. You checked your phone from next to your pillow, a few texts from friends back home texting at 2 am long paragraphs and some from 30 minutes ago.
Silently smiling and replying something sweet to each of your friends you slipped out of your bed and headed out from your room. Your hair was messy from sleeping with it loose and somewhat wet, in an oversized shirt and some shorts. You felt a bubble of excitement grow in your belly as you saw your hero friends, expecting them to burst out yelling happy birthday. But to your disappointment nothing happened, they were all chatting not even aware of your presence.
âItâs okay theyâre just tired from last nightâ you comforted yourself holding back the lump you felt growing. You smiled to yourself and made your way to the kitchen, sliding with your fuzzy socks across the hard wood floor.
âYouâre gonna get hurt one day yâknowâ the groggy voice spoke from behind you, startled you slipped and almost fell, luckily you caught yourself on the table near you.
âGood thing Iâm young and a slip wonât break my back huh Barnesâ you quipped back smiling at him. His blue eyes somehow sparkling despite the fatigue ever-present on his face, hair messy but silky in a small bun you called it the raddish because it was so tiny.
As you made breakfast not one person wished you happy birthday, not even bucky. Not that he had to, i mean you werenât dating so whatever right? I mean sure we flirt here and there, and everywhere, but still, not dating. Yet. You were so caught up you didnât notice Wanda talking to you about some guy she met that she claimed was âmaybe the oneâ which she had said about the last three. You nodded and said âno wayâ here and there. The conversation ended, and no âhappy birthday!â she was your best friend you know you had told her it was your birthday today.
You put your plate in the sink and went back to your room, the lump in your throat making its way closer to its escape. No way, you werenât crying on your birthday. You got changed and headed out, you were gonna be happy and make this memorable. You walked out of the compound with confidence, but once you stepped out into the busy streets, your confidence blew away with the winds of New York and you shyly walking towards who knows what.
After a good hour of walking around and buying a few small things to decorate your room with or to just mess with you cane across an animal shelter. âDonât do it, no you canâtâ you scolded yourself as your feet made its way inside the shelter, pushing open the double doors. The smell hit your nose and you smiled, embracing it instead of scrunching up your nose. An expected mixture of dog, cat, and cleaning product.
âHello! How can I help you todayâ the guy at the front desk asked you, a charming smile sent your way. âUhm, do you have any dogs? Well, of course you do but can i see some?â You said face palming mentally, way to go Y/N.
âOf course! Right this wayâ he smiled and led you to the dog section of the shelter. âFeel free to look around, if you wanna play with one of these guys let me knowâ he smiled and went back to sitting down. âIâm Dorian by the wayâ he said before leaving the hall.
Slowly you walked by each kennel, giving every dog your utmost attention. Baby talking to each of them. It is your birthday isnât it? You tapped your foot debating if you should get one of these babies and deal with tony later. Fuck it. You smiled and went up to the front, âuh Dorian? can i adopt one of the dogs?â You asked shyly tucking a piece of hair behind your ear. âOf course! Whoâs the lucky guy that gets to go home with a beautiful girl like you?â He smiled at you.
There was a dog that had caught your eye, he was brown and had a black snout and ears and a tail to match. âthe little guy with the black nose and tailâ you beamed at him, âheâs gonna get big ya know that right? Heâs a mix of a lot of thingsâ he informed you. âYou think i canât handle him?â You teased as he became flustered. âI- I didnât mean it like that-â you laughed âIâm kidding man.â He smiled at you and proceeded to lead you to your soon to be sons kennel.
âUsually people have to wait a few days for the dog to be ready but this puppy is all ready surprisingly.â Dorian apple as he came back with your new puppy. âokay yeah thatâs amazing.â You spoke bouncing on your heels making grabby hands to your new puppy. âWhat are you gonna name him?â He asked as you filled out the paper work. You thought about it for a while. âAce. Heâs the only puppy in his litter with his markings, one of a kind.â You said setting down the pen and looking at the puppy in your arm, almost smiling up at you.
As you walked into the local pet store and bought the necessary supplies you called an Uber and headed to the compound. You were gonna get killed by tony. You were too excited to care though, this little furball in your hands made this birthday into a much better thing.
As you entered the compound and snuck to your room you set the supplies down, quickly puppy proofing your room. âOkay hereâs the deal, itâs my birthday, Iâm not supposed to have you, but in my defense no one told me happy birthday.â You said firmly to Ace as he cocked his head to the side and then continued smiling at you. A knock at your door startled you, and Ace too as he barked.
âY/N? Is that you?â Oh no, Tony. âUh yeah sorry i was, practicing my barks. Gotta throw people of their rhythm you know?â You cringed as the words left your mouth. Running to open the door before he could open it all the way. âWhatâs up?â You asked your body covering the bed where ace laid, or so you thought.
âI just thought you wanted to join the team for movie night? I think Thor is picking the movie....â he trailed off eyes wandering down to your feet. You felt your soul leave your body. âIs that, is that a puppy?â Tony said every word becoming louder. You quickly picked up your companion and rushed you into the living room, âi can explain i swearâ you said sweating already fearing having to give up this canine you claimed as your son.
âI told you NO DOGS, youâre too smart to make an idiotic mistake like this Y/N.â Tony said visibly angry shouting, causing the team to surround you two. âHow do you expect me to live here isolated from everyone? You know i love dogs and you take that from me too?â You yelled right back, small barks erupting from ace as you shouted.
âI donât get why youâre so impulsive maybe if it was your birthday this would be acceptable but itâs not!â He scolded you, and thatâs when the lump in your throat bursted out. Voice cracking and tears flowing âit is my birthday you prickâ you furrowed your eyebrows and everyone around you get shocked and disappointed in themselves for forgetting.
After spending a few hours setting up aces things in your room and crying for half of it. You hear a gentle knock on your door. You get up, careful to not wake ace, and you look to see who it is. Bucky Barnes. The one man you had fallen in love with but no one seemed to notice. Not even him. Your clock read 2:46 a.m. and you slowly opened the door as he stood there with guilt on his face. âIâm sorry i forgot, i didnât know and i know itâs technically over but can i try and make it up?â He said making eye contact a few times and fiddling with his fingers. You smiled, your heart melting, how could you say no? As you walked down the shirt hall you saw some candles light their way to the table which had your favorite cupcake with a single candle in the middle, a small bag next to it and a note.
âBuck you didnât have to do thisâ you said tears welling in your eyes as you started in awe. âJust read pleaseâ he said in a shaky voice.
hi y/n,
I know everyone forgot about today, but i promise i didnât mean to. You mean so much to me, more than you can imagine. Youâre the most beautiful girl Iâve ever laid eyes on doll, you always make me stutter and somehow i turn into a blushy mess. Everyday you look so beautiful and you take my breath away. You donât realize how much you mean to this team and to everyone around it. I realized it when we all went stargazing and they were all messing around but you kept everyone together, and as a team we admired the stars as you named each constellation and gave facts about them. I realized when you solved so many things with your common sense that none of us apparently have. I realized when you cried over killing a plant because you gave it too much water, or how you broke the TV because tony would change the SPCA commercial and then you stole his debit card and donated $20,000 dollars as a âreparation for emotional damage.â I didnât just realize this. I realized i was in love with you. All the things you do, from how you type on your phone to how you focus on your work and youâre so gentle with the things you love and you can be so forward with someone. Iâm in love with you, and i hope i can spend your birthday with you. Because on this day that you were born, the birds sung, stars shone and flowers bloomed. - bucky barnes
You teared up. âBucky you really mean all that?â You felt the hot tears flow down your cheeks. Smiling and snuggling up at him. âEvery damn word doll.â He smiled. You hugged him and you stayed there for a while, your head on his chest arms around his torso as he kissed the top of your head, arms wrapped around you. âOpen the bag sweetheartâ he said as he pulled away reluctantly. You smiled and opened the bag. Inside was a box. You opened it and inside was a ring you had been talking about for months.
âNo way- you didnât, tell me you did not James Barnesâ you spoke in disbelief as the ring shined even in the dim candle lit space. Bucky smiled at you proud of himself as you jumped around with the ring. âI know you said you wanted it really badly and that when you got it you knew that âyou had made itâ and let me tell you, you definaltly made it, saving the world and helping everyone.â He smiled as you slipped the ring on admiring it once more. You beamed up at him, practically glowing. Even with your slightly puffy eyes, and your hoodie and shorts you looked gorgeous to Bucky.
âHow do i even repay you?â You asked hugging him once more. He smiled at you âitâs your birthday, nothing to repay.â You wanted to just marry this man on the spot. âJust ask me out already Iâm in love with youâ you sighed as you blew out the small candle on the cupcake. âMaybe i willâ Bucky smirked as your blood rushes from your face, âdid i say that out loudâ you closed your eyes hoping you didnât say that out loud. âYou did dollâ he said leaning closer to you, you could feel the heat radiating off his body. He ticked a strand of hair behind your ear as he slowly leaned down and your lips connected. Fireworks was an understatement, it was magical, as cheesy as it is you felt like you were floating. That was until you heard something barking âferociouslyâ at bucky. You both pulled away to see ace standing between you two, barking at Bucky standing protectively on you your feet.
You both laughed as Ace calmed down when you picked him up, âheâs a good guy buddy, we love Bucky in this houseâ you smiled as the puppy relaxed and licked Buckys face. âI think he likes me nowâ he smiled petting the dog gently. âWe have good tasteâ you winked at bucky as a small blush reached his cheeks.
After splitting the cupcake and watching the sunrise together with ace, you yawned and were about to go to your bed when bucky grabbed your wrist and pulled you into his body, kissing you. His hands cupped your cheeks and your hands tangled into his hair. You stopped when you ran out of breath, smiling at each other you stepped away and patted your thigh âcmon buddyâ you said to Ace as he followed you back to your room. Your face was hot and you couldnât stop smiling.
âY/N!â Bucky called out, you turned around to face him. âWill you be my girl?â He asked shyly.
you smiled and nodded âof course i will James.â I guess some bad birthdays have an amazing ending. You walked with ace as you smiled and he wagged his tail.

When I get you alone, babe!
A/N Enjoy! This will be a multi-chapter story: steamy like the midsummer night air, sweet as an Italian ice bought on the fairway, with twists and turns like an antique wooden rollercoaster, complete with side trips to the fun house, where illusion reigns supreme (and romance can sometimes get even steamier). This is of course somewhat AU, but McKinley is basically the same, as is Dalton. Rated T for language, and situations.I don't own Glee, or any name brands or songs that crop up here!
Yes, Rachel, I'm here now! See you in the choir room. Kurt snapped his phone shut . I'd actually get there faster if you didn't keep hounding me! he grumbled to himself. Yes, he was (checking the time) three whole minutes late, but what the hell! First day of junior year, and yes, he was impressed by her enthusiasm, but why did it also have to involve waking him up extra early? His phone vibrated again in his pocket as he strode down the halls of William McKinley High. I have coffee for you! He smiled at the text message, and decided he could forgive Rachel for this summons to a meeting.
He was almost there when he was violently shaken out of his reverie by a brutal body slam into the wall of lockers
"Hummel! Gay much? What the hell are you wearing, your granny's cologne?" Not waiting for an answer, Karofsky sauntered away with a sneer as Kurt slumped to a sitting position on the floor.
Damn! Kurt thought he'd remembered what those slams felt like, but the memory didn't compare at all to the painful original. He closed his eyes, breathed deeply, and looked up in surprise when he felt his shoulder being lightly tapped
"Hey! You OK?"
Kurt shook his head, took the hand extended to him, and stood up to greet⌠a stranger. "Uh, thanks. I'll be all right." He looked, and was pretty sure he'd never seen this guy before. He wasn't someone he would have expected help from, for sure: whoever this was, in his black skinny jeans with a black rock band shirt (who the hell were Freelance Whales?), motorcycle boots, heavy silver chains dangling from his jeans and jacket in odd places, with slicked black hair, looked scarier than Puckerman.
"Good. Later!" The stranger flashed a gorgeous smile at Kurt, and then turned to go the other way down the long hallway.
"Yeah. Later." Kurt whispered. He smiled at the retreating form of the mystery boy. He'd barely seen his face at all. Kurt wished he'd looked at his face instead of his clothes
"Kurt! Come on! Your coffee will get cold!" Rachel scurried down the hall, looking for Kurt, her patience wearing thin as she waited to get their glee strategy meeting started. "Artie, Mike, and Tina are already there!" Rachel stopped to look at Kurt, noticing he looked a little stunned. Seeing no evidence of a slushie attack, her brows furrowed as she tried to figure out what was up with her friend. "Where's Finn?"
Kurt went along down the hall with her, as Rachel had gripped his arm, leading him to the choir room.Â
"Rachel." She looked at him, opening the door. "I know my way, you know. You don't have to lead me around like some kind of frantic seeing eye dog!" He was about to launch into a snarky remark about Finn not living in his back pocket when Rachel handed him a cup from the Lima Bean. He took his first sip, pure heaven, and looked down at Rachel, whose eyes suddenly brightened: Finn had slipped in just behind them. "Sorry, Rach, you didn't deserve that. And thank you so much for getting me this."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Kurt was glad Mike was in his honors English class. It was right before lunch, and they both had the same lunch period, which meant he wouldn't have to go alone to the caf to find the glee club table. They'd chatted about the heavy reading list, gotten out their lunches (neither one of them liked the school food) and settled in to wait for more friends to join them at a table outside.
"I said get away from my stuff!"Â
Their heads snapped at the very angry, very loud voice a few tables away, on the outside rim of the enclosed courtyard. Kurt recognized the boy who was yelling: the stranger from this morning..
"Hey! it was an honest mistake, all right? My bag looks just like yours. Sorry!"
Mike recognized the boy who was backing away fast, Justin Mara, from his AP Bio class.
"Maybe we need to make them look a little more different, asshole!" Justin watched fearfully as the boy reached to throw something at him, and Kurt and Mike were horrified to hear the thunk of a knife thrown with great force at the bag, right in front of Justin's chest.Kurt looked on, terrified.Â
Slushies and getting slammed were routine occurrences at McKinley, as was the occasional trip into a dumpster. But knives? He hadn't seen anyone with one at this school, let alone witnessed one being thrown like that. The jocks clustered at the table near where Justin had been standing just sat there, mouths opened wide, as Justin fled without another word. They moved away a bit as the boy sat at the table next to them that Justin had just vacated.Finn and Brittany sat down next to Kurt, as Mike leaned over, saying, "I'm going to go check on Justin. Catch you later, Kurt."
"Everything OK, Kurt? You, um, don't look too good right now." Finn frowned at Mike's retreating form
."Fine. I'm fine. You didn't see anything, did you?" Kurt glanced over to where the new boy was calmly eating his lunch. He really wanted to get a better look, but brought his gaze back to Finn.
"No! What? Did I miss something?
----------------------------------------------------------
"Porcelain!"
Kurt turned, sighing, ready to see what Coach Sue Sylvester wanted this time. The first glee meeting had gone about like he'd thought it would; Mr. Schue had weird ideas to increase their numbers, Rachel wanted to start planning right away for Sectionals (and of course had songs picked out); not much singing this first day. He was tired; ready to go home, thirsty, hot
."Yes?"
"I'm hoping you've reconsidered your ill-advised decision from last year. You know you want back in."
Kurt could only shake his head. "Ah, Coach Sylvester, by the way, the name is Kurt, and I think I'm going to say no to what I can only assume is your invitation to re-join the Cheerios."
Sue's eyes narrowed as she considered the teen in front of her.Â
"You're making a mistake, Porcelain, but I'm sure you'll come around. I've got some numbers planned out for you, and you know you loved it." She smirked at Kurt.Â
"See Becky to get your measurements re-done; looks like you've grown some since last year."
Kurt rolled his eyes. He knew his measurements in detail; how else to create his own fashions? As if he'd let Sue's minion put a tape measure anywhere on his body! He had, in fact, enjoyed some aspects of his time in the Cheerios quite a lot, but he really didn't have time for this. He smiled at Sue sweetly. "Bye Coach."Â
He was almost giddy at the Coach's look of frustration as he walked away from her.Â
Glee let out almost as late as the sports practices today, and he headed towards his beloved Navigator in the nearly deserted student parking lot. Kurt's mind was preoccupied with anticipating getting home, getting rehydrated, and maybe vegging out with reruns of Project Runway.
"Nice ride."Â
Kurt blanched as the new kid from earlier today suddenly came up behind him.
"Thanks."Â
He had no idea what to say, and this throat was instantly dry, noting that he was completely alone with this guy â who'd been nice, friendly even, this morning, and then revealed himself to be a scary, knife-throwing nut at lunch.
"You all right?"Â
The guy was looking at him with concern. Kurt relaxed a little. He certainly didn't look like a threat, for now.
"Yes! Fine!"Â
Why was he here? Kurt decided to try talking to him as he were any other new student. He was glad for an excuse to look at the boy's face. "My name's Kurt."
"Blaine. Blaine Anderson."Â
Kurt saw his face light up with a smile. And those eyes â he had hazel eyes framed by long lashes, topped with black triangular eyebrows. Why, Kurt wondered, did he look so damned amused? Had he done anything funny? How did someone dressed like such a fashion disaster manage to look so amazingly hot?"You're new here, aren't you?" he managed to say, congratulating himself on not slipping into his highest register.
"Yup," Blaine said. "Moved here this summer. I'm a junior."
Well, Kurt thought, this conversation was going surprisingly normally. If you can call normal having a conversation with a guy in goth-meets-biker gear who throws knives when he gets pissed normal. Somehow he didn't feel like he was in any danger, and part of his mind wondered why that should be so.Â
"Junior. Me too." Brilliant, Kurt, he thought to himself. He must have paused too long, as he noticed Blaine started to speak again.
"Well, Kurt. Nice to know the name that goes with the face. See you around!" With that, Blaine nodded in a friendly way in Kurt's direction as he started towards his motorcycle parked further out.
"Right! See you tomorrow. I guess." Kurt watched him walk away for a moment before getting his keys out. Damn! Maybe those pants at least weren't a fashion disaster. Not on him anyway. OK! he thought, enough! I don't even want to know what would happen if he caught me staring at him in those skin tight jeans!
---------------------------------------------------------
Blaine pulled into the driveway of the little house he and his mom had moved into a couple of weeks ago. Her family in the area had all offered to take them in, but she'd gently turned them all down, preferring instead to move into their own place a couple of weeks before the semester started. It was smaller than he was used to, but he liked it more: his parents' fights, which alternated with periods of uncomfortable chilliness, had been hard to be around. Much as he'd hated the idea of them divorcing, he couldn't help but see that his mom actually seemed more relaxed now.
Letting himself in, he dumped his bag into his room and shed his outfit in what his mom would describe as the messiest way possible: jacket, shirt, socks, chains, exploding all over the room. He did use care however, with his knives and holsters, laying them out on the top of his dresser. He didn't regret losing the one he'd thrown at lunchtime: he grimaced for a moment, musing that it was a worthy investment. The table full of jocks? They hadn't said a word, including the Neanderthal who'd pushed that boy into the locker first thing this morning.
Blaine peeled off his sweaty socks, leaving them unceremoniously on the floor, as he loped over to the shower. He'd waited after school, so long he thought maybe he'd missed him, but had been glad to find that he hadn't: he'd wanted to stay to make sure the beautiful boy from the morning made it to his car without getting bullied again. Kurt. He'd seemed nervous, but when he'd finally smiled â wow. Blaine made a mental note to ask Justin about him later tonight

Itâs Late (Ch 2)
A/N: This is still fiction! Each of the boys has their own unique problems. This bit should line up with News of The World. Thank you to @rogers-wristbandsâ for proof reading! Iâm not sure this will make much sense without reading Ch 1, so read that here. Enjoy!
Warnings: Children, Anger (past), (weâre starting to get cute, yâall)
Word Count: 1.3k
âRoxie! Robert!â You chased after the three year-olds. Veronica was behind you, heavily pregnant with her second child. âRonnie, I canât believe youâre having another one. This one,â you gestured to your own child, âexhausts me all by herself.â
âTo be fair, you usually have her and her little shadow to keep up with.â She was right. Anywhere Roxie went, Robert followed. Youâd even had to move closer to John and Veronica because they refused to be apart for too long.
âI suppose.â You turned to smile at her now that the children had settled slightly with their toys. âIâm still shocked that Johnnie managed to talk me into coming to this.â
âMe too, honestly. I thought Iâd be here all by myself. Could you imagine?â
âNo, and I donât think that Robert could either.â You watched the little boy in question play with your daughter. Their relationship reminded you so much of your own with John. Friends, purely so, with no expectations to be anything more.
Although today, that friendship seemed to wear on you. John had finally convinced you to accompany Veronica to a soundcheck so that she and Robert could see him his first night back in the country. You were promised a place to keep yourself so that you wouldnât have to face a certain guitarist very often.
Keeping her from Brian was basically impossible with how intertwined your life had become with John and Veronicaâs. But Brian knew better than to try to explain who he actually was to her, yet. You knew it caused him pain, but he had made his choices. He missed your pregnancy, her birth, and the first several months of her life. You were still bitter and angry then. Things had calmed down considerably, but you still didnât trust him and werenât sure that you wanted your daughter to attempt it. Youâd give her the chance to make her choice one day, but not today.
Freddie and Roger, on the other hand, were always welcome at your house. They managed to sneak into the hospital to see her in the nursery, and had been smitten ever since.
Roger especially seemed to love little Roxie. It was the best mistake his friend had ever made, in his opinion. He was wrapped around every one of her little fingers, all because she was determined to play the instrument that made the most amount of noise. You were the only one to blame, really. Youâd watched a concert tape at the Deaconâs house with Veronica and she was immediately taken with the drums.
Freddie loved her, too. He loved both of the little ones, and he showed it. Mainly by spoiling them to death. At Roxieâs last birthday, you ended up with a new addition in the form of a little black kitten and all the necessary accessories to take care of her. You knew it was Freddieâs doing. Especially, when Robert ended up with a white one 2 months later.
All was going well, so far. The kids were busy with toys, you and Veronica took turns focusing on them and the stage, and John managed to look slightly happy during the check. When they got their first break, John and Roger immediately came down to the two of you.
âRox! How is my favorite niece?â Roger was making a beeline for your kid.
âUncle Rog!â She left her toy and poor Robert behind to sprint towards him. Roxie and Roger were like two peas in a pod. Highly intelligent, loud, and extremely vivacious.
âLooks like you've got your hands full there, Y/N.â John had picked up Robert and walked up to you.
âI think Roxie has Roger right where she wants him.â You smiled at the duo as they slowly made their way to the group.
âHiya, Rog.â He had scooped up Roxie and made his way to stand next to you.
âFancy, seeing two of my favorite girls here.â He nudged you with his shoulder. âHowâve you been, lovely?â
âNot too bad. Just busy.â Youâd been getting shy around Roger lately. You werenât sure as to why, but the more invested he became in you and Roxie, the more you seemed to pull away.
âMumma, I want to see Uncle Rogâs drums.â Roxanna had set her eyes on a new toy and she was headstrong enough, just like you, to get it.
âYeah. Daddy, I want to see the bass.â It seemed she had gotten Robert in on the plan to get all of you up to the stage again. The two of them communicated like twins sometimes, despite having different parents and being born two months apart.
âWell, my love, thatâs really up to Uncle Roger, isnât it?â You had moved to push her unruly curls from her face. âIt is his kit.â
âPlease, Uncle Rog?â She turned to him and poured every bit of childish charm she had into the puppy-dog eyes she put on.
Roger looked to you to be sure you actually approved. He was getting very good at reading your moods, especially when Roxie was involved.
âI canât say no to you, Rox. Letâs go.â He turned very quickly with Roxie still on his hip and started towards the stage. You could hear him giving her instructions and laying down ground rules. It seemed he wanted her to play as loud as she could manage, which honestly didnât surprise you.
âI guess weâre going, too.â Veronica had a hand on her bump and one on Johnâs arm, which was still holding Robert. âYou know it wonât go well for us if one goes and the other doesnât.â
âSuppose youâre right.â You smiled gently and followed them up.
The stage was blissfully free of guitarists, but bustled with crew movement. Roger and Roxie had beaten the rest of you up there and were currently getting settled behind the drumset.
You watched as he seated her on his knee and placed a stick in each of her hands. Before she could bring them down and wreak havoc on the snare, he grabbed her wrists and helped her tap out a loud, but steady, rhythm.
Shortly after, the bass chimed in. You looked over to see John with Robert on his lap, controlling the toddlerâs hands to match up with the drums.
âLooks like the rhythm section for Princess is already being formed.â You couldnât help but laugh at Freddieâs rather astute observation. It seemed like they were already raring to take their places as the boyâs successors.
He placed an arm around your shoulders and leaned in to whisper in your ear. âIâm not surprised she picked the loudest instrument on stage. She never was one to take after her father.â
âHello, my darlings!â
âUncle Freddie!!!â Both of the toddlers screamed in unison and quickly abandoned their chosen instruments to attach themselves to his legs. John and Roger just laughed. It seemed their charismatic frontman had the same effect on children as he did on their fans.
Unfortunately, the reappearance of Freddie meant that break was over. So you freed him from his âshacklesâ and cleared out. This time you and Veronica were moved to a room backstage where you waited out the rest of the soundcheck.
The little darlings seemed to be wearing out from the adrenaline rush of playing on stage and seeing most of their favorite people, so they fell asleep very quickly giving the two of you a moment of peace.
âSo, Y/N,â Veronica began quietly, looking rather tired herself. âBased on how today has gone, is there anything youâd have done differently?â
âNo. Not in this life.â You smiled down at the sleeping child on your chest. Her hand reached toward where Robert was plastered to your side on the couch. Youâd never felt so content with the decision youâd made.
A/N: Just one chapter left! Let me know what you think. Send an ask/message/leave a comment or however you want to tell me. Also, Iâm thinking of making a tag list. Let me know if youâre interested via messages. Stay lovely đ¤

4AM: Please
A/N: This.....turned into a whole damn oneshot that I really hope you guys like. đđđđI am tired, so I will proofread tomorrow. đđ
Words: 3.6K
Warnings: Angry TâChanos and Inebriated Horny Bashira
Please
âAre you sure we shouldnât have waited for TâChalla?â
Ode rolled her eyes as the two made their way through the boisterous crowd of intoxicated and dancing wave of individuals, her friend staying close behind, nearly holding onto the back of her denim shorts.
âYes, mom.â She rolled her eyes and giggled when she saw Bashira glare at her. âIt will be fine. Weâre here to have a good time.â
Bashira wasnât even attempting to hide her nerves. âYou know that this isnât my scene.â
âBut it is when your big, bad fiance is here?â
âYou did not just say that.â
Ode frowned. âYouâre right. Bast, I have to stop accepting all of these missions in America.â
Bashira laughed as they reached the VIP section, courtesy of her being royalty, and also pulled up her top. âI swear, my breast are going to pop out of this thing at any moment.â
Ode raised a brow. âLet us not blame the top.â
She faltered with her response. âIâŚ...do not like you.â
âYes, well they sure seem to like you.â Ode snickered as Bashira looked over to see a group of men ogling her like it wasnât a universal fact that she was literally engaged to the crowned Prince of Wakanda.
âThe feeling is not mutual,â she rolled her eyes as Ode reached her a glass of what was probably an alcoholic beverage. âYou know I donât drink.â Ode pouted. âOde, no.â
âIt will help loosen you up.â
âYou got me to go to a club, Ode. I cannot get any more âlooseâ than that.â She commented dryly as her friend gave up and shrugged.
âMore for me.â Bashira watched the woman gulp down her drink and the one originally intended for Bashira. Before she knew it, sheâd snatched the glass from Ode. âHey!â
âGood Bast, woman, you have a problem.â Bashira shook her head and started to place the drink down somewhere but paused. She was a bit tense.  One drink couldnât be too badâŚ.right?
------
âWho is that?â Sadiki asked his good friend as he brought his bottle of alcohol up to his lips.
Erik looked away from the ebony beauty he was trying to convince to come home with him in order to find out who his fellow War Dog was referring to. When he did, he smirked. âYou know Bashira.â
Sadikiâs eyes widened ever so slightly. âNo.â
Erik chuckled. âYup.â
Sadiki raked his eyes over the princess frame as she danced with her friend. âYou mean, Behati finally loosened the reins.â
âSomething like that,â Erik shrugged. He truly was in no mood to go into the whole, sheâd been chosen by Bast explanation. âYo. Where you going?â He asked as he noticed Sadiki had discarded his glass and was moving to walk away.
âThe princess came out to play,â Sadiki smirked. âLetâs play.â
Erik shook his head. Heâd sent the video of Bashira to TâChalla just to fuck with him, but he was pretty confident that his cousin was on his way, if not already there. âMan, leave her alone. Sheâs T-â When the prince saw that Sadiki was long gone, he decided to go after the man but decided against it. Sadiki would have to handle the repercussions on his own.
âPrincess?â
Bashira turned around with a smile that faltered slightly as she saw the man who sheâd noticed was hanging out with Erik the whole night.
She hated to judge, but nine times out of ten, Erikâs friends werenât the kind you wanted to have very much interaction with.
âHello,â she mustered a small greeting. âCan I help you?â
Sadiki licked his lips. âI just thought Iâd tell you how beautiful you looked tonight.â
It didnât escape Bashira how his eyes were glued to her chest as he delivered his âcompliment.â
âYes, well, thank you.â She went to push her hair from her eyes, praying that he noticed the large engagement ring on her finger. However, she would have guessed that he already knew of her engagement to TâChalla and simply didnât care. âI should get go-â
âA dance?â He moved in front of her, placing both hands on the counter of the bar. âJust one, your highness?â
Her smile finally dropped. âI donât think thatâs a good idea.â
His smile also fell. âWhy?â
Bashira found herself growing irritated. âYou know that Iâm engaged, right?â
Sadikiâs face changed at that announcementâŚ.and not for the better. âDressed like that?â
Her eyes narrowed. âExcuse me?â
âYou look like a whore, princess.â Consumed by the small amount of alcohol that invaded her senses, she lifted her hand and smacked him across the face.
âDonât you ever speak to me again,â she hissed, pushing on his chest and weaving her way through the crowd to get as far away from him as possible. Deciding to go to the restroom to check her makeup, Bashira was in the dark hallway that led to the restrooms when she was roughly grabbed from behind.
âHey!â She shouted as she was shoved against the wall, her arms pinned above her head. âWhat-â
âYou entitled little bitch,â Sadiki sneered as he stared down at her, his eyes gleaming with both lust and anger. âWho do you think you are?â
Get the fuck off of me!â She grunted, trying to pull her hands free, only causing him to squeeze harder. âHeâll have you arrested for this!â
âYou think I give a damn about your father?â Sadiki smiled sinisterly, bringing one hand to roughly grabbing her chin, applying unnecessary pressure as his other hand continued to hold both of her hands above her head. âYouâve certainly grown in terms of boldness,â his eyes fell to her heaving chest. âAnd other areas as well.â
âPlease! Get off of me!â She again struggled, her eyes starting to water from how tightly he was squeezing her wrists. It was almost as though she could feel the bruising starting to form. âYouâre hurting me!â
Sadiki said nothing, simply lowering his head to kiss her when she decided to use another method to get away. Collecting her saliva, she spat in his face, smartly using the second he used to pull away and wipe at his eyes to run away.
Not even looking back, she hurriedly made her way back over to the VIP section where Ode was talking to some guy, her eyes quickly falling over to her friend. âHey, I was just about to come looking for you.â She studied Bashiraâs flushed face. âAre you alright?â She pushed the guy over to the side to walk over to the princess. âYou look-â
âIâm fine,â Bashira forced out, ignoring the unpleasant memories that were starting to return of Thom pinning her to her wall when she was a teenager. âI just-I need another drink.â She called over a server and took two glasses, dowing the shots in a matter of seconds.
âAre you sure?â Ode eyed her skeptically. Bashira didnât even drink like that, if at all, yet she was taking shots like she was a pro.
She nodded, praying that her friend couldnât see through her frazzled manner. âLetâs dance.â
------
âSo what is going on with you and Bashira?â TâChalla looked at WâKabi, his oldest and most loyal friend since they met as young boys in primary.
The princeâs face remained unchanged. âNothing worth discussing.â
âOh, come on now.â His other friend, Ishaq, smiled mischievously. âYou spend almost all of your free time with her.â
TâChalla rolled his eyes. âDo not exaggerate.â
âLast week, you were supposed to hang out with us, but you canceled.â Obasi pointed out.
âI was busy.â
âYou were with her,â WâKabi smiled.
TâChalla was growing irritated with the conversation. âWe had to go approve the wedding venue.â
The three men laughed. âOh yes, because such a decision absolutely required your presence.â
âAnd what about two weeks ago? When we were scheduled to train together?â
TâChalla shrugged. âShe needed a ride.â
âSo call Uber.â Obasi said as if it should have been obvious, not even cringing at the âreally?â look that the prince sent his away.
âAll Iâm saying is that you sure have been doing a lot with a woman who you barely even acknowledged for a majority of your life,â WâKabi noted. âMore time than you ever spent with Nakia.â
TâChallaâs gaze darkened. âNakia was never my fiance.â
âBut you loved her, did you not?â
He shifted his shoulder at Ishaqâs question. âYes.â
WâKabi decided to take a chance. âDo you think that your feelings for Nakia have now shifted to her sister?â
Coincidentally, the princeâs attention was directed elsewhere as a message from his cousin came in.
âIs this your girl?â --- The captions read as TâChalla opened a video that showed a visibly Bashira dancing provocatively to YGâs âPop It, Shake Itâ while adjusting the top of her skimpy top.
âDamn,â Obasi commented as she came over to see what the source of the noise was from. âIs that Bashira?â
âWait, sheâs already there?â WâKabi questioned.
âYes, she is,â Ishaq muttered darkly, his eyes glued to her sizable chest.
TâChalla sent the man a death glare before closing up the video and heading for the door.
âWhere are you going?â WâKabi called after his friend, all three jumping as the door slammed.
âIâm guessing the club,â Obasi said after a few minutes, earning hits on the arm from the other two. âWait a minuteâŚ.he was our ride!â
âDamn.â WâKabi paused for a second before. âChallaâ, wait up!â
âShould I call Uber?â Ishaq asked sarcastically, earning groans of complaints from the men. âIâm just saying.â
------
Bashira was standing on the balcony of the VIP section with Ode, both girls recording on Snapchat as they rapped and sang along to the Plain Jane remix. The princess had forgotten all about her encounter with the aggressive man, the alcohol doing its job both with pushing away the bad memories and allowing her to âlet her hair down.â
âRap bitches, they gotta check in with the queen,â they shouted loudly while laughing in the video. âIâm the alpha, the omega, everything in between.â
As the end of the verse, Bashira jumped as she felt arms snake around her. Fearing it was the man from earlier, she spun around and went to jab him with her elbow only to be met with a familiar smoldering gaze.
She let out a breath of relief and smiled shyly. âHi.â
âI thought I told you to wait for me,â was the first thing he said as he took in her appearance. She truly did look magnificent, but he could literally smell the alcohol on her.
âHere we go,â Ode moaned and rolled her eyes as she set her gaze on Ishaq. âIâll be right back.â She mumbled with a sultry smirk, strutting her thin but curvy figure over to the princeâs friend.
âWe got tired of waiting,â she shrugged, turning back around to start up a new video, a small smirk playing on her face as she pushed her ass into him. âBut I can make it up to you.â
Though TâChallaâs expression didnât change, he couldnât deny the massive amount of self-control it took to not allow her plump derriere pushing on his crotch to make him drag her to the back and show her just how much he wanted her to âmake it up to him.â
She continued to twerk on him when his arms secured around her waist when the song went off and another one came on.
Bashira squealed, something that damn near pierced his ears. âThis is my song!â TâChalla saw her lift her arm to get a better angle (one with him in it) as she started to rap and dance along to the tune.
âStack my money, fast and go. Fast like my Lambo.â The prince mostly kept his poker face even as she looked over her shoulder to try to get him to react, which he did, as he lifted his arm across her chest, his large hand holding her left breast to stop the shaking and rip the view of her sizable cleavage from the viewers' eyes.
Bashira rolled her eyes and shook her head. âToo much, your highness. Too-â
âWhat is that?â TâChallaâs voice broke through her statement as she turned around in confusion.
âWhat is wha-â she stopped as he grabbed her forearm and lifted her wrist, showing her the large and dark bruise that was undeniable. âOhâŚ.that.â
Fire filled the princeâs eyes as he looked to see that the bruise was on the other arm as well. âWho touched you?â
Her mouth faltered. âI-â
âWho fucking put their hands on you, Bashira?â He raised his voice, drawing the attention of his friends, Ode and Ishaq included.
âWait. What?â Ode sounded, walking over to them as Bashira kept her head down, her eyes falling on the bruise. âOh my Bast! Bashira, what happened?â
âIt was-I donât know his name, okay?â She said in a voice full of frustration. âHe got upset with me because I slapped him-â
âSo he fucking hurt you?â TâChalla hissed, none of his friends even bothering to say anything else as they realized there was no calming him down when he got like this.
âWait. Why did you slap him?â Ode pressed.
âHe called me a whore-â
âWHAT?â
âBashira, either you point him out to me now, or I swear to Bast, I will have every fucking person in this club jailed tonight until I find out who.â
The princess gulped. Sheâd never seen TâChalla so upset. âI-I-told you. I donât know his name. I just know he was with Eri-â
TâChalla lifted his eyes, immediately focusing in on the other side where Erik and his friend were.
That was all he needed.
âWait, TâChalla!â Bashira called after him as he quickly sped off to make his way over to the culprit. However, when she went to leave, she looked back to see WâKabi restraining her. âWhat are you-â
âItâs best you stay over here, princess.â He advised as she whipped her head in her fianceâs direction.
Erik sensed his cousin coming and slyly put distance between him and his friend, moving just in time.
âYou son of a bitch!â Was the only thing Sadiki heard before being grabbed by the collar of his shirt and thrown to the ground. Screams were heard from around as the prince went to raining blows on the War Dog who had absolutely no chance to fight back.âYou fucking put your hands on her?â
âTold ya!â Erik called out, wholeheartedly unphased at the vicious beatdown his cousin was giving his friend as he downed the last bit of his drink.
âTâChalla, stop!â Bashira shouted as she approached the violent assault, her eyes widened with horror as she watched him savagely beat the other man. âYouâll kill him!â
âI donât care.â He replied darkly, a sense of fear taking over her as she watched him stomp on the manâs chest, most likely cracking a rib. Or two.
Ode slammed her eyes shut and shook her head. âDeal with him, please!â
WâKabi decided to try and reason with his friend, trying an approach that would either work or exacerbate an already difficult situation.
âTâChalla, you are frightening her!â He warned in Xhosa, taking a sharp breath as she saw TâChalla pause mid punch, nodding toward Bashira who, thankfully, got the hint.
She walked over to him, grabbing onto his bicep, looking up at him with pleading eyes. âPlease.â She begged, her heart thumping as he reluctantly ripped his eyes from Sadiki to look down at her. âLetâs just go.â She reached up to place her palm against his cheek, taking note of how his eyes closed at her touch. âPlease.â
TâChalla stared at her, the sincerity in her eyes despite her inebriation. He didn't want to scare her. He never wanted to scare her, but the fact that he possibly was frightening herâŚ.it was enough to get him to stop before he truly did murder the man.
Bashira watched him carefully remover her arm from his bicep as he lowered his body to mutter something to a nearly unconscious Sadiki. However, she was unable to listen as she a nauseating feeling overcame her.
Clamping her hand over her mouth, she shook her head and grabbed her stomach. âIâm gonna be sick.â She managed to force out before turning around and dashing toward the restroom.
âBashira!â Ode went after her as Obasi shook his head and watched Odeâs retreating form.
âCall me!â
------
âI think Iâm done,â Bashira mumbled as she walked out the bathroom after brushing her teeth following another bout of vomit, hopefully, her last. âMaybe.â
TâChalla stood up from his seat on the edge of her bed and walked over to her, easily reaching out to hold onto her waist as she swayed.
âI donât suppose I can take a showerâŚ..â
He shook his head. âNot tonight.â
She pouted and then looked up at him over her lashes. âBut I can get out of these clothes.â His gaze darkened as she purposely took her time to unbutton her jeans, sliding them over her ass, hips, and thighs before stepping out of them. Bashira brought her orbs to match his as she reached behind for the ties of her corset, prompting the king to turn around to give her privacyâŚ..even though he wanted nothing more than to watch her undress.
However, she was drunk, and he would never take advantage of her like that. Or any other woman.
TâChalla tensed when he felt her front pushed against his back, her erect nipples stabbing into him, testing his self-control.
âI need a shirt,â she spoke into his skin, reaching for the hem of his top, tugging upward. He reluctantly lifted his arms, allowing her to commandeer his, shutting his eyes as he felt her hand on his shoulder, encouraging him to turn back around.
âIâm decent,â she shrugged, his shirt stopping right above her knees, her breast pushing against the fabric. âYouâre staying the night, right?â Bashira didnât necessarily give him a chance to respond as she pushed on his chest, toward the bed, her eyes glued to his as he fell back on the mattress.
He watched her trail her fingers down his bare chest, stopping her when she went for the buckle of his pants.
âBashiraâŚ.â
She rolled her eyes. âYou canât sleep in jeans.â
He relaxed but continued to monitor her, lifting his hips to help her help him remove the item of clothing. His eyes finally shut as she laid down on him, her head resting in the crook of his neck.
They rested in silence for a good five minutes before she spoke, his fingers lightly trailing across her body.
âI donât think I should wear that top again.â She yawned. âIt wasâŚ.rather revealing.â
He narrowed his eyes. âYou should and will wear whatever you wish to. No one has the right to put their hands on you or say hurtful things just because they do not like the word do.â
âYou make a good bodyguard.â She smiled softly, tightening her arms around him. âHopefully, the same will be said once you become a husband.â He started to say something when he saw her lift her head, her eyes glistening with something he typically didnât see in her.
Lust.
âBashira-â
âShhh,â she brought her index finger to his lips and brought her mouth to the side of his head, her tongue gliding across his earlobe.
âStop, Bashira.â He said in a pained voice, tightly fisting the blankets on the bed. Her soft lips nibbling at his ear, creating a strange but pleasurable sensation distracted him from her hands running down his chest, stopping when they reached the outline of his large manhood.
She gasped and lifted her head with a confused look. âDid it get bigger?â
âBashira,â he released a shaky breath, grabbing her hand and pulling it far away from his growing erection. âYouâre drunk.â
âAnd youâre hard,â she giggled, chewing on her bottom lip. âI can fix that.â
He shook his head and lightly pushed her off him, moving her to the side, ignoring her small groan of disappointment.
âI should go-â
âNo!â She called out and crawled to the edge of the bed as he stood. âIâm-Iâm sorry. I justâŚ.â her head dropped and her eyes watered. âI wanted a distraction.â
His eyes squinted. âFrom what?â
He watched her fiddle her thumbs, her eyes glued to the mattress beneath her. âTonightâŚ.it scared me.â
His stomach dropped. âI truly did not mean-â
âNot you,â she quickly objected. âWhen heâŚ.when he grabbed meâŚ.I felt like that teenage girl who was stuck in a room with a man in his twenties, pinned against a wall, no one there to get him off meâŚ.â
âStop,â he closed his eyes. Thom. She was talking about Thom. The prince suddenly had a burning desire to track down wherever the fuck Sadiki was a crack every bone in his body. âIâm-Iâm sorry. I should have made it there sooner.â
She wiped at her eyes and reached out her eyes. âJust stayâŚ.please?â
He stared at her hand, not even thinking twice as he accepted her invitation back into her bed, this time wrapping his arms tightly around her as she buried herself in the safe confines of his chest. No words were shared between the two. They didnât have to be.
TâChalla didnât dare try to fall asleep. No, he waited until he felt the soft and consistent breathing pattern that indicated she was sleep. He looked at her face, her mouth formed into a slight pout as she rested in her slumber.
The prince couldnât resist running his fingers over the hand that was on his chest, dropping down to the bruises that, though he couldnât see in the dimly lit room, he knew to be ever-present.
Bruises he never again wished to see on her. He never wished to see her in any sort of position that even remotely hinted at there being danger.
He waited a while before allowing himself to sleep, finally joining her in her slumber, but not before WâKabiâs question from earlier invaded his thoughts.
âDo you think that your feelings for Nakia have now shifted to her sister?â
He didnât have an answer then.
But he did now.

lost mal-evolence // 6
WORD COUNT // 1666
a/n ! IM EXTREMELY SORRY FOR THE DELAY I HAD MIDTERMS AND SHIT HAPPENED, im in vacation for the next two weeks SO ILL TRY TO POST MOREEEE forgive me pls :((((
summary ! The youngest of the Maximoff siblings had lived through heartbreak twice now. First her parentâs death and then her older siblingâs abandonment. She did not know what she had done wrong, only that she searched for them for 3 years before HYDRA recruited her. She joined them when she learnt Pietro and Wanda had came here after leaving her. Now 6 years after their departure, she was in the process of becoming HYDRAâs best asset ever.Â
part one   part dos    part tres    part quatro    part cinco
It was time.
When Buckyâs alarm went off, he knew today was the day he had been waiting for quite some time now.
His face was serious, as usual. And he got up, almost mechanically, went to his bathroom and splashed his face with cold water. James Buchanan Barnes wasnât really someone to feel nervous, he was either feeling angry, guilty or some sense of happiness he didnât really want to acknowledge.
He didnât like being vulnerable, but he knew and couldnât ignore the fact that he was nervous about this particular mission.
Never in his life would he have thought that he would be going back to the Siberian Compound willingly.
But here he was, staring at his dripping reflection in the mirror. Overthinking the situation and how it could go wrong for the girl.
Turning the water off he dried his face with a random towel and got dressed in a haste before jogging down to the kitchen, where the others were already debriefing the mission. For what seemed like the millionth time in three days.
He took a bite into an apple and listened as Steve reminded each team member that the main goal was to get the youngest Maximoff out. That in no possible and reasonable way they would take out Hydraâs Russian team today.
Without even looking at his best friend he knew he was staring right at him. He nodded and remained calm.
Steve couldnât help but feel concerned for the man in front of him. He knew as soon as he would be back on Russian soil Bucky would be tense. It would be even worse being in the place that got him to forget about everything at first.
If he could have prevented him from going onto this mission with them, he would have. But the Super soldier knew better than to try and reason with his best friend.
So, he would just have to remind him constantly to be careful. Because he didnât want to lose him.
Not again.
This morning was a quiet one.
The Avengers didnât really know what they would be walking into. It stressed Tony out, and his rambling didnât help anyone else.
They all got into the same quinjet and took off for Russia, heavily armed with their favorite weapons. Still, they hoped they wouldnât have the opportunity to use them, and even most of them knew that was probably inevitable. Bruce was internally praying so he wouldnât have to turn into the big green meanie.
  Fatigue.
Thatâs all Mal could feel. Her tired limbs strained as she pushed herself to her limits and ran faster if it was possible.
She could feel the coldness of the snow underneath her feet. But she also felt the deep cut under her right foot, it was pulling on her skin as her body was desperately trying to regenerate the flesh.
Her heightened senses made everything so much more exhilarating. The adrenaline and electricity flowing through her veins werenât helping as she kept trying to calm herself down.
She could smell the scent of the pines, the cold and pure air filling her lungs as she felt like she was on fire.
The deep contrast between the temperature of her body and the soilâs made it almost impossible for her not to lie down right there and enjoy the freezing snow.
But she knew she couldnât. And that last bit of will she had, she held onto.
Thatâs all she had left now. If she didnât listen to reason now that there was no one to save her, how would she survive?
She could see the bright colors of the nature. You would think that after spending so much time indoors and not seeing the outside world would make you afraid of it. But Mal wasnât your ordinary girl and those colors she memorized.
She felt like any moment now, this could all disappear. In a matter of seconds, she would be back on that chair, still being cut into.
That thought only made her push harder, she knew she couldnât last long at full speed even with the amount of training she had had.
So, she put all her efforts of being as far as possible from the compound for now. She didnât know what she would do then but she hadnât prepared a whole plan before sprinting her way out of that atrocious building.
The teen could hear the wind hissing at her ears, and the shouts coming from a distance now.
She knew she had set chaos and Hydraâs people were probably too distracted and disoriented to actively search for her, or do it in an efficient manner.
If her statistics were right it was only a matter of 30 minutes before they started raiding the surrounding areas.
But suddenly her body came to a halt.
She could see her heavy breaths in the air as she tried to regain a normal breathing. With al this blood rushing to her head, Mal couldnât think properly.
Although she didnât remember much from her life pre-experiment, she remembered a movie she had seen with her siblings.
She remembered how stupid she thought the girl running from the killer was, she kept making the wrong choices, and it had gotten her killed in the end.
In that moment, Mal opened her eyes and looked to the white, clouded sky. It blinded her, the sudden brightness not leaving enough time for her eyes to adjust. And she decided she wasnât about to be the stupid dead girl in the horror movie.
She stopped running and instead took it upon herself to climb the strong tree in front of her.
As a matter of fact, she knew if she had continued to run for at least ten minutes more, she would have passed out.
And again, the young girl would have woken up in the compound she had spent the last three years living in.
Now that wasnât something she wanted to include in her last-minute plan.
An hour after she had finally climbed that tree, Mal finally arrived in the small town she had seen from afar.
Unfortunately, she knew she couldnât stay here long. She knew Hydraâs dogs would be after her, and would be tearing up entire villages and families to get to her.
She felt sorry for what she was about to impose on people. But she had only two choices right now, either she could surrender and be taken back to her cell or she could run away now and be free. She chose the latter.
Even if that meant she had to be on the run her whole life.
She sighed as she entered a small shop. Her wild eyes werenât accustomed to seeing that much people, she was scared but wasnât showing it.
As soon as she set foot through the doors, she knew she only had a few minutes before people started to notice her and ask questions about her appearance.
Why didnât she have shoes on? Why was she dressed so lightly? Why did she seem all bloody and dirty?
So, making herself as small as possible, even if her 5â4 frame wasnât the most noticeable one, she rushed to the corner of the place where the clothes were stored.
She took some cargo pants, a black t-shirt and a camouflage vest before going into the fitting room and putting the clothing on. Checking the shoes section, she chose a random pair of combat boots in her size and quickly put them on.
By now, she knew the owner of the store had probably noticed her presence. She didnât really know what to do.
Mal had checked the clothes for any antitheft system and was glad when she couldnât find any. All she had to do now was walk out those doors without anyone stopping her.
She looked with envy at the various types of foods presented to her in the alleys of the store.
But any hope of eating was crushed when she saw her opportunity to flee. The cashier took his break and went to the back of the store, the time for the substitute to come and replace him left her enough time to walk out the doors.
And then she ran, again.
She shoved someone on her way out but didnât stop, only looking back to yell an apology âĐСвиниŃĐľ!â
She heard the person curse back loudly at her and people stopped in the street to help the man stand up.
The teenager knew the clock was ticking, she had taken too much time at the store, now she had to run to the train station. Not paying attention to the people around her, she ran and got in the train as it was leaving the station.
The controller yelled at the young girl in Russian and she only opened the door while giving him the middle finger.
She was tired of people trying to make her obey and comply to their every demand.
As she was in the last wagon, she didnât bother apologizing to the people who were already there since most of them were sleeping homeless.
But now that she thought about it, she had no home either.
She struggled as she tried to open the window by her seat. She put as much force as she could and finally it slided a little and the fresh air made her hair fly in every direction.
Honestly, she didnât really care about her hair, or the way she looked right now really.
She probably looked worse than those homeless people on the train with her. But she felt more alive than ever.
Sure, she had no home, no family, no money. But she had one thing.
One thing people wouldnât ever take away from her.
She wouldnât let it happen ever again, she promised herself.
And that was, her freedom.
Yes, she was free now.
But was she safe ?

Canât Even Have a Nice Dinner
The Guardians get treated to dinner at a fancy restaurant as a reward for completing a very difficult mission. However, dinner doesnât go exactly as planned⌠Read on Ao3.
âWhat do you mean we have to get dressed up? Why canât we go just as we are?â Rocket complained as they entered the fancy dress shop.
âI am a man, I do not wear dresses.â Drax added as he looked at the various clothes. âI would have chafing issues.â
âDude!â Rocket exclaimed rather loudly. âWe did not need to know that!â
âI am Groot.â Groot nodded as he looked up at his surrogate father.
âI agree, Groot.â The raccoon agreed. âNo one needs to know that.â He added as he took Grootâs hand.
âLook, guys, please donât cause a scene here.â The leader of the group, Star-Lord interjected. âThe Nova Corps are treating us to dinner at the fanciest restaurant on Xandar. We have completed 10 dangerous missions for them without losing a single life. The least we could do is be cordial to them. Just find something nice to wear and weâll be on our way. Any questions?â Starlord added as Drax raises his hand. âYes, Drax?â
âDo I have to wear a shirt and jacket?â Drax asked worriedly.
Peter and everyone rolled their eyes. âYes, Drax, you have to.â He said.
âBut, I feel uncomfortable when I wear a shirt.â Drax admitted. âThey hurt my nipples.â He muttered as Rocket bursted out in laughter.
âHahahaha! Oh, oh. I canât wear shirts cause âMy nipples hurt!â Oh, boy, thatâs a good one!â Rocket exclaimed.
âRocket, enough! Donât try to embarrass us!â Gamora ordered. âTake Groot to the childrenâs section and get him something nice and weâll meet up back here in an hour.â
âI am Groot.â The little tree complained to Rocket as he tugged on Rocketâs pant leg and looked up at him.
âFine, Groot, I wonât make you wear a hat, but you will need to wear a suit.â Rocket told Groot as he picked up his son and carried him to the childrenâs section to be fitted for an outfit. âLong story.â He told the others as he left with Groot.
An hour later, after trying on various outfits, (And Rocket chasing a rambunctious Groot throughout the store as Groot screamed âI AM GROOOOOT!â at the top of his lungs and ran naked around the store.) They had their clothes for the restaurant. They went back to the Milano where they changed into them before arriving at the restaurant.
âHello, do you have a reservation with us this fine evening?â The host asked as they came in.
âYes, Quill, party of 5.â Peter answered as the host looked at everyone in the party.
âUm, youâre going to have to leave the dog outside.â The host said as he looked at Rocket as Rocket glared at him.
âI am not a dog, mister!â Rocket snarled angrily.
âWoah, woah, woah!â Peter exclaimed. âRocket, calm down, he didnât mean it personally.â He pulled Rocket to the side. âCan we get through tonight without you threatening to kill anybody?â Rocket reluctantly agreed as they sat down at their table.
As they read through the menus, the host returned again.
âIâm sorry, sirs and madam, but the child cannot be sitting on the table.â The host motioned towards Groot, who was happily humming to himself as he listened to Peterâs Walkman.
âWhy? Heâs not bothering anybody.â Rocket growled. âLook, weâll move him off the table when the food comes, âkay?â
âNo, itâs not ââkay.â The host answered. âNow, get him off of the table and into this high chair, or weâll be forced to throw you out.â
Rocket gently picked up a content Groot and began to place him into the high chair. Groot didnât like being treated like a baby and began to throw a temper tantrum.
âI AM GROOOOOT!â The angry little tree screamed as he flailed his arms as Gamora buckled him into the high chair. âI AM GROOOOOT!!!!â Groot reached for the salt and pepper shakers and threw them at Drax, who was trying to drown out the noise.
âIâll take him outside to calm down.â Rocket said as he picked Groot up and carried him outside for timeout.
âGroot, what was that?â Rocket asked as Groot kicked at the pavement.
âI am Groot.â
âI know that youâre not a baby.â Rocket said as he placed his arm around the young sapling as Groot hung his head low. âBut this is a rich peopleâs place, we have to abide by their rules.â
âI am Groot.â
âI agree. It does suck.â Rocket said as he kneeled next to his son. âLook, Iâll make you a deal: No more flipping out and Iâll let you stay up later, deal?â Groot looked at Rocket and smiled as they went back in and Rocket got Groot in his high chair.
The waiter came by to take everyoneâs order. Everything went smoothly until it was Grootâs turn to order.
âI am Groot.â
âHe said that he wants the surf nâ turf.â Rocket translated for the server.
âIâm sorry, thatâs not on the childrenâs menu.â The waiter snobbishly informed Rocket.
âLook, man, Groot-.â Rocket began, but stopped as everyone looked at him getting into the waiterâs face. âGrootâll have the chicken nuggets.â Rocket quickly said as he sat back down. âOkay, you can have extra cookies for your bedtime snack later, k?â He whispered to Groot as Groot smiled.
When their food came out, Groot wasnât happy with his dinner. He promptly picked up a chicken nugget and threw it at Drax. Drax, thinking Groot was being playful, threw a piece of his food at him. This then caused everyone else to look at them and they were immediately removed from the restaurant and given a lifetime ban.
âDang, we canât even have a nice dinner. What else are we not gonna be able to do?â Starlord gasped as they walked back to the Milano.
âI am Groot.â Groot said as he pointed to Drax, their sibling rivalry apparent now.

Vampire!Mingyu Part 3
Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3 || Part 4
Ft. Mingyu death
For: @sunnysidewrites @justsomekpopstuff @kkwonsoonyoung @cipheress-to-k-pop @xeniatan @aesthedick-minmin
A/N: Ohmygod why did this take so long Tagging people who commented/reblogged w/words on the other parts, or people who are just hyped so that they see this!
kind of rushed at the end but I donât think I can take another part hhhh
That morning, when all the vampires were asleep, you woke Mingyu who was on the couch in the guest bedroom
He couldâve slept with you but he still doesnât feel right touching you
Istg boi there was already a make-out session tho??
You both snuck out to the gate at the edge of the front garden
But you stop when you heard footsteps and someone clearing their throat
Itâs Prince Jun and a posse of purebloods
Jun couldnât let you leave
He just couldnât
The second you stepped off the grounds, Mingyu could teleport you anywhere
And he needed you to stay
But as he advanced forward, Gyu pulled you back through the gate
Seconds after hearing âSTOP!â you were someplace else
And you were holding Mingyuâs hand :)
He let go bc he was still⌠iffy about touching you
But you just grabbed his hand again and dragged him out of the alley you were in
Turns out, you were right where you needed to be:
You: âTarget!â
Gyu: âYes youâre a target, I just said that!â
You: âNo, Target. Itâs a storeâ
Gyu: âStore?â
You: âWe can buy food in there. Do you have any money?â
Gyu: âBuyâ?â
Cue you pulling him into Target
If you were going to have a vampire staying with you, you needed to stock up on stuff
How about pizza?
You went over to the freezer section
When suddenly Mingyu stopped in his tracks to stare at everything
âHuh? Something wrong, Gyu?â
His gaze kind of faltered at the nickname, but he still looked at you in disbelief
âThese things are⌠frozen⌠how do you eat it?â
âUm⌠when were you bitten?â
âWhen I was a young child. Why?â
Explains why he doesnât know much about human stuff
ââŚNevermind. You heat the food upâ
Gyu: âSo⌠youâd heat that up?â
You: âWhat, frozen pizza? Yeah.â
Gyu: âFrozenâŚwhatâ
You: âPizza? Bread with like cheese and meat and tomato sauceââ
Gyu: *hugs freezer*
You:
Gyu:
You:
Gyu:
Gyu: ââŚpizzaâ
People were staring so you pulled him off the freezer
But aw
He likes pizza
So yes you bought a ton of pizza but also veggies bc he needed to be a healthy boi (stay away from the garlic tho)
And after some quick shoppingâ
Nah we know heâd stop at everything interesting; it took a while
So after a while of shopping
You brought him to your home to relax with some pizza
Ok but cuRIOUS VAMP GYU
WATCHING THE MICROWAVE INTENSELY WITH WIDE EYES
Meanwhile, you were working on what happened when you were gone
You werenât gone long enough for anyone to worry, and luckily for you, it was the weekend, so you didnât miss work
Mingyu sat next to you on the couch and you asked him about the other vampires
âSo basically⌠they⌠want to extend the bloodline. The more human the blood, the more they fit in. The end goal is to be able to blend in with humans while still retaining vampire traits.â
But as Mingyu told you more, you sensed the lie in his voice
You didnât say anything for now
Ok thereâs more plot to this buT VAMPIRE GYU GETTING INTRODUCED TO HUMAN TRADITIONS
AND HUMAN FOOD
AND PIZZA
He just happily munched away at all your cooking
Learned a thing or two
Heâs nice company
And he started to warm up to you!!!
That night, he was about to fall asleep staring at the washing machine from the couch when you pulled him up
Cue whiny Gyu wanting to stay on the sofa
You dragged him to your bed and he plops down immediately
You lay down next to him and his arms instinctively wrapped around your body
Iâm soft
The next day, you decided to bring Mingyu somewhere to have some fun
Park? Yes.
First, we gotta deal with his clothes
Yeah um no one wears a cape and frilly shirt to a park
Unless itâs Halloween
Which fun fact in this au itâs banned to dress up as a vampire bc of dangers of real vampires
So you gave him some clothes you bought at Target: some sweatpants and a t-shirt
While he was changing in your room, he called you in to ask about something
You assumed itâs about what socks are or smth lmao
But then you walk in and this boi is shiRTLESS and staring at the closet
1st reaction: oHmYGOd his chest is so wide wtf
2nd reaction: okAY PLS PUT ON A SHIRT NOW
But you noticed he was staring at your scarf on the closet door
âWhat is that?â
âScarf. For your neck when itâs coldâ
âYou should wear it. Itâs cold outsideâ
So he tugged the scarf off of the door and pulled it around your neck snugly
âThere. Youâll be warm nowâ
âI donât think I need this, Gyuâ
âWhy not?â
âI have youâ
At first heâs like wut
And then
Ohhhh ~hugs~
But he also noticed something elseâŚ
Your pendant was lightly glowing again
He didnât say anything.
He finally put on a shirt and a jacket
And you walked to the park!
Gyu at the park man
He saw a dog andâ
Wait whereâd Mingyu go
2 seconds later he was 10 feet away petting the dog
And he was like âY/N? Can we get a dog?â while that dog was licking his face like there was no tomorrow
Vampire + puppy = SOFT GYU
You just sighed and laughed at this puppy magnet
You went back home tiredly and looked up dog shelters
Over the next few weeks, you spend your days and nights with Gyu, learning about him and watching movies together whenever you werenât at work
It was peaceful and you got along well despite him being a fanged creature LOL
Yâall even found some alternatives to blood that kept him healthy!
Tho he still had to drink some animal blood for the first few days which creeped you out a little
One night, Gyu was munching on chips when you confronted him about his honesty about the other vampires
He looked down before sighing and putting the chip bag down
Finally, he told you the truth
âThey wonât kill you.â
âWhyâd you lie?â
He stays silent.
âMingyuââ
âThe pureblood⌠your mate⌠would be your husband. Your love. They would love you. And I⌠IâŚâ
âYou what? Why do you care?!â
Youâre just angry now
âI just ran away with you! I couldâve helped them. Not all vampires are bad, and I should get to help! Mingyu why did you take me awayââ
âI donât want you to love someone else! I love you, okay?!?! I want⌠to be with you. I could never be your soulmate though⌠Iâm not pureblood. I have no chance, but I thought⌠if you never knew the truthâŚIâd still have one.â
You fall silent
And think.
Just think and stare at Mingyu
âHow could youâhow could you be that selfish?â you asked whilst trying not to cry
âMy entire life I was treated like an outcast, but when I met you, I finally felt... wanted." It was getting really hard to keep from crying, so you only listen as Mingyu finished speaking
"It was a mistake. I regret it. Iâm sorry.â
As you tried to calm down, Mingyu stood up and held out his hand
âIf you want to help so badly⌠Iâll bring you back. But Iâm a traitor now, Iâll have to go into hiding. You wonât see me again, Y/N.â
You just nodded, trying to hold back tears
You both have already been through a lot together in the short time youâve known each other including some intimate things
You slowly grew close to Mingyu
And now he was saying he wonât ever see you again
But you stood up and take his hand
Seconds later, you were back at the gate
Jun was waiting with other purebloods
You reluctantly let go of Mingyuâs hand and gave him one last hug
He just looked into your eyes and smiled
âRemember I love youâ
The moment you let go, he was gone
You couldnât help but choke back tears
You left the garden and went with Jun, who wanted to talk to you
Not any of the other heirs, just you
You went into a room with him alone and had tea while you talked
Jun brought up your little outburst trying to protect Mingyu, and then him taking you away
He appreciated your decision to come back to help and led you back to the rose garden, where the 4 remaining heirs were waiting
Some were kind of upset you left but nevertheless were glad to have you back
So for the next few hours, purebloods from all over the world would take turns standing in the middle of the garden with you all
If one section of coloured roses stopped glowing, that heir would have found their match
Eventually, it was just you left
Everyone went through, and yet no one made the roses stop glowing
Soon the only pureblood who hadnât tried was Jun
You were kind of scared...
It was going to be him
He was the only one left
It was why he couldnât let you leave
You looked down to your white roses and wished Mingyu was there with you
The only guy here you were ever really close to
The only guy you really wanted to be your match
Well shoot, time to accept your fate
Then, after a few shouts and gasps, you saw the roses suddenly stop glowing
You quickly looked up, ready to lock eyes with Jun
Jun wasnât standing next to you
Then you turned around
Mingyuâs hand was inches from your shoulder
He had stepped into the center with you
He was standing there, stunned
All you did was cup his face with your hands and give him a kiss
âYou came back! But why?! You saidââ
âI thought about what you said, ânot all vampires are bad.â Maybe it meant I wasnât bad, and I had a chance to at least apologize and not be an outcast. I came back to see youââ
Cue Gyu getting interrupted with another kiss
So.
Turns out the non-pureblood vampire is your soulmate
Who wouldâve thought?
Well I mean
The make-out session was a dead giveaway
Speaking of make-out sessionsâŚ
Since Mingyu wasnât a pureblood, your role wasnât important anymore
Jun gave you permission to let Mingyu go home with you
So the make-out session may have resumed at your place đ
But most importantlyâŚ
One night, Mingyu was home learning to cook ramen
When you came home from work
âBabe? Youâre late, I got worriedââ
He turned around to find you holding a smol puppy that is desperately trying to leap out of your arms and run over to Mingyu
Gyu accepts the kisses from both you and his new puppy-child
YOU GUYS KNOW I AM 100% READY TO WRITE DOMESTIC LIFE WITH VAMPIRE!GYU IF SOMEONE REQUESTS
But until then
This life you had nowâŚ
Started all because you were stupid enough to go into a dark alley and get attacked
And now you were raising a puppy with your attacker
Who wouldâve thought?
The make-out session was a dead giveaway
âI am never leaving you againâ

Hereâs my Secret Santa gift for scarytinyturtlebutt! I submitted it to her yesterday, but for some reason it wouldnât link to @undertalesecretsanta This is me linking it again, so hopefully it works :)
âWhat do you guys usually eat for Christmas?â you asked Sans as you grabbed a can off the grocery shelf.
âwell,â he chuckled, âthis is our first christmas, so technically nothing.â
âOh, right.â Monsters had only been on the surface for two years. Sans had explained they hadnât yet tried or integrated many human traditions into their own yet, even though some of theirs were very similar. âThen what do you usually eat for Gyftmas?â
âwhatever paps wants,â he shrugged, moving to stand on the bottom rack of the cart, leaning his torso over the handle. âitâs different every time.â
âLike what? I need specifics.â You walked further down the isle, pulling both cart and lazy bones with you.
âone time we had a pancake and hot chocolate bar, another time we had oatmeal with those little dinosaur eggsâŚâ
âI sense a theme here,â you said, raising an amused eyebrow.
âheh, yeah. paps says itâs the only time of the year that breakfast for dinner is okay.â Â
âHmm,â you mused as you scanned the shelves for anything else you might want. You and Sans hadnât come prepared with a list, planning to figure it out as you went. Not seeing anything in this section, you pulled the cart onward. âMaybe weâll have to add some kind of breakfast food to our feast then. Any suggestions?â
Sans thought for a moment. âwhat other foods are ya making?â
You started listing them off on your fingers. âTurkey, stuffing, rolls, mashed potatoes. A few other things I havenât decided.â
âsavory stuff, huh? maybe a quiche, then? papyrus likes those.â
âOoh, perfect!â Your eyes lit up. âI know a great recipe.â
âgoes good with ketchup, too.â He flashed a mischievous grin as he leaned off the moving cart to snag a giant bottle of the stuff.
You rolled your eyes good-naturedly. âYouâre buying that separate. I refuse to pay for your unholy addiction.â
âi can quit anytime.â
âYeah right,â you snorted. âRight after I quit my sleeping addiction.â
âhey, papyrus quit his.â He winked. âanything is possible.â
You stopped walking to grab a few spices. Then you looked him straight in the eyelights, deadpan expression. âMonkey-walrus hybrids wearing nothing but potato skins and living on the sun in cotton huts.â
His browbone contorted in deep confusion. âwhat the hell did you just say to me?â
âNot everything is possible.â You gave him the widest, shit-eating grin you could.
âi think you need to get checked out,â he smirked back.
âOkay. Right after you get your addiction checked out.â
âmaybe we should just check out of this store.â
âAs soon as I check out this sale over here.â
âin the meantime, iâll be checking you out.â
âOoookay. Time to check out of this conversation.â
âdoes that mean i win? checkmate.â
âIâm legit done with this now,â you laughed. âNo more!â
âsue me. iâll write a check.â
âNoooo! Sans!â You started walking away.
He followed with the cart. âcheck. chhheck. check. hm. sounds weird now.â
âWhy did I ever agree to date you?â you huffed.
âditto, ms. monkey-walrus hybrid,â he grinned, an amorous sparkle in his eye.
Unable to hide your own smile, you shook your head and replied, âLetâs just go pick out a turkey, bonehead.â

The next day was Christmas Eve. You headed over to the skeleton brothersâ house in the late morning to start working on dinner. Usually your big feast was on Christmas itself, but the monster queen Toriel was hosting a huge party that day and youâd all been invited. Since Sans and Papyrus had never had an authentic human Christmas before, you decided it was your duty this year to make sure they did. This was one of the best times of the year, after all. It would be a crime not to experience it in full.
Papyrus answered the door, as per usual.
âMERRY CHRISTMAS EVE, HUMAN!!â he shouted.
âMerry Christmas Eve, Papyrus,â you nodded as you stepped over the threshold.
âI CANâT WAIT TO START THE FEAST PREPARATIONS!! THIS IS GOING TO BE SO INTERESTING!â he said as he followed you into the kitchen.
âHaha, yes,â you smiled, eyeing him a little nervously as he began to pull out the ingredients youâd bought the day before. âJust remember that Iâm the Master Chef today, young Padawan.â
He paused a moment to shoot you a confused glance. âOH, THATS THE WARRING STARS REFERENCE⌠YES!! I WILL DO EXACTLY AS YOU INSTRUCT!â
âGood,â you chuckled. âFirst we should start on the pies.â
âthis looks like a pie-ne time to join,â said Sans, peeking around the corner.
âOh, hey! You want to help, too?â you asked hopefully.
ânope,â he grinned, taking a seat on one of the counter stools. âby join i meant watch.â
âAnd nap on all of our counter space,â you said wryly.
The day went by rather quickly with all the cooking and baking. All the previous cooking lessons youâd given Papyrus had paid off, evidenced by the minimal burnt dishes. Sans had been a bit of a butt, hiding things you were using when your back was turned (you suspect heâd been bored). But all in all, everything had turned out just fine.
After the table was set, you all sat down together to eat.
âso, uh,â sans started, âis there something we say before we eat?â
You paused in the middle of lifting a knife. âLike what?â
âi dunno, like âmerry christmas, letâs eat?ââ He shrugged.
âYou said it then. Letâs eat!â
âAGREED!!â Papyrus chimed in.
Just as you were about to carve yourself some turkey, a flash of white zipped across the table, grabbing the bird by itâs leg and dragging it just as quickly over the other dishes. Bowls were tipped and flipped, splattering food and juices across the tablecloth.
âSTOP THAT DOG!!â Papyrus leapt onto the table in pursuit, only creating a larger mess.
It all happened so quickly that you barely had time to register. You just stared as a glob of mashed potatoes smacking onto the front of your shirt. Turning to Sans, you saw his grin tighten as he leaned to rest his forehead on the table. The sounds of an angry Papyrus started to fade out through the front door.
âWhat theâwhy wasâwho letâthe foodâfrigginââŚâ Your strained mutterings trailed off in an exasperated whine. You could feel hot tears begin to form as you took in the sight before you. âAll of our hard workâŚâ
âiâm sorry y/n,â Sans said, placing a hand on your back.
âWhatâre we going to do now?â Your voice shook, and you turned to look at him. When you saw his face, your eyes went wide.
âwhat?â he said, feigning innocence. âmy bones felt a little dry. thought they could use some moisturizing.â His cheekbones were coated in a nice layer of gravy that was slowly dripping down his jaw.
The ridiculousness of it, paired with the ridiculousness of this whole ordeal⌠you really wanted to cry, but you couldnât help the hysterical laughter that erupted from your mouth. Your doubled over in your chair, mirthful tears replacing sad ones. You heard Sans emitting similar levitous sounds next to you. This totally sucked, but it was going to be alright.
When Papyrus came back empty-handed a few minutes later, you two were still cracking up.
âWHAT IS SO FUNNY?â he asked, visibly fuming. âTHAT DOGâS ENJOYING OUR FOOD SOMEWHERE, AND HE DOESNâT EVEN PAY RENT!!â
âItâs okay, Papyrus,â you managed to say while catching your breath. âWe can figure something else out.â
âBUT ALL OF OUR KITCHENING HAS BEEN WASTED!â
ââkitchening?ââ Sans smirked.
âYOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!â
âHey, I think the quiche is still salvageable,â you said, pointing to a round dish off in the corner of the table. There was a small paw print decorating the center of its golden-brown top.
âwell thatâs a pawsitive,â Sans snickered.
âEUGH! YOUâRE GOING TO EAT IT WHEN IT HAS THAT GLUTTONOUS BEASTâS FOOT COOTIES?!?â
âSure, weâll just cut around it,â you replied, not sounding too confident after his description.
âmore protein,â added Sans.
âSANS, DONâT BE GROSS!â
You all ended up eating the quiche, which Papyrus complimented liberally despite his initial aversion, and supplemented your meager meal with the extra rolls that hadnât made their way out of the kitchen yet. It wasnât the traditional feast youâd planned, but it was at least memorable.
After the mess was cleaned up, you all changed into cozy pajamas and cuddled on the couch to watch âA Christmas Story.â
âHMM,â Papyrus mused after one part. âIF THATâS HOW THE HUMAN SANTA TREATS CHILDREN, IâM NOT SURE I WANT TO RECEIVE GIFTS FROM HIMâŚâ
âThatâs just a mall Santa, Paps,â you said behind a yawn. âThe real Santaâs nicer. Right, Sans?â
But Sans was fast asleep against your shoulder. That was too bad. You thought heâd get a kick out of this movie, but now he was going to miss the best parts. With the long day youâd had, it wasnât long before you, too, were dozing off.
~~~~~~~~~~
You awoke to the television turned off and blanket stretched over you. A warm skeleton was snoring as he cuddled you from behind. Looking about, Papyrus was nowhere to be found.
âSans,â you whispered.
No reply.
âSans, hey! Weâve gotta put out the presents.â
There was stirring, and then, âfive more minutes, mom.â
You practically leapt off the couch, facing him with a frown. âWhat?â
He chuckled at your reaction and proceeded to stretch and yawn. âiâll go get the stash then.â
The âstashâ was hidden in Sansâs closet, probably the one place his brother wouldnât dare go.
While you waited, you took a moment to admire their Christmas tree. Colorful lights twinkled off glittery ornaments, casting a soft, festive glow into the room. You remembered helping to decorate it a few weeks ago. Papyrus hung most of the ones up high since he could reach, and Sans⌠had mostly watched. He opted to coordinate which ornaments went where so no two of the same were too close to each other. His opinion wasnât much called upon. Silly goof. You smiled fondly at the memory.
Sans appeared next to you holding a large, bulky trash bag.
âsansta claus reporting for duty,â he said.
âPffft, dork,â you snorted, reaching inside the bag to grab a present.
âmmm, you shouldnât call sansta that.â
âI do what I want,â you giggled, placing the present under the tree.
âthatâs naughty, and you know what naughty children get.â He wiggled his browbones.
âWhy, Sansta!â You feigned shock. âFirst you call me âmomâ and then you flirt with me? I think youâre the naughty one.â
Caught off guard, he struggled to keep his laughter at a low volume. âya got me there. but seriouslyââ he pulled a small package out of his jacket pocketâ"this is for you.â
You looked at the carefully wrapped box in front of you. âI canât open that, silly,â you said. âItâs not Christmas yet.â
âthat clock says it is.â He nodded to the timepiece on the wall, which read â3:07.â
You smiled wryly. âAlright, fine.â Taking the little box, you gave it a gentle shake. âItâs the key to a new Lamborghini!â
âha! nope.â
âOh, sorry. A yacht.â
âhow could i have fit a whole yacht in there?â
âThe key to one, geez,â you smiled, giving his shoulder a nudge.
âjust open it,â he chuckled.
You carefully peeled back the paper so as not to rip it, and then neatly folded it up. âThatâs quality paper. Gotta save it for later.â
He rolled his eyelights at you good-naturedly.
Lifting the lid to the box, you saw a smooth, black heart attached to a silver chain.
âIs this coal?â you asked, eyes widening. âWoah.â You pulled it out and held it up to get a better look.
âkinda. itâs called jet. itâs supposed to have useful properties.â
âWow, thank you, Sans,â you said, admiring the pendant. He remembered you were into that kind of stuff. âThatâs really thoughtful.â
âhere, lemme put it on for ya,â he said, turning you around. Taking the necklace, he moved your hair to one side and clasped it around your neck. He turned you back around. âthere. beautiful.â
You beamed up at him. âI have a present I want you to open now, too.â You shuffled around in the bag a minute before finding it. âI think Papyrus might be a little⌠disappointed with me if he saw it.â
Sans raised a browbone and proceeded to unwrap the package. âha! i thought ya said you didnât want to support my addiction.â He held up a ketchup dispenser in the shape of a gun, smiling widely.
âYeah, well, I figured itâd be more amusing to watch you drink it this way,â you said.
âheheh! yeah, i bet it will be!â He examined his gift once more. âand youâre probably right about my bro. youâd never hear the end if he knew you gave it to me.â
âSpeaking of,â you said, âwe should finish putting out these presents before he wakes up. Heâs such an early bird.â
He nodded, then stepped closer to wrap you in an embrace. âmerry christmas, y/n.â He pressed his teeth to your hair.
You stood there a moment, enjoying the warm and intimacy of the moment. âMerry Christmas, Sans.â
